Coherent states on a circle: The Higgs-like approach

Ali Mahdifar, Ehsan Amooghorban

In this paper, the Higgs-like approach is used to analyze the quantum dynamics of a harmonic oscillator constrained on a circle. We obtain the Hamiltonian of this system as a function of the Cartesian coordinate of the tangent line through the gnomonic projection and then quantize it in the standard way. We then recast the Hamiltonian in a shape-invariant form and derive the spectrum energy of the confined harmonic oscillator on the circle. With help of the f-deformed oscillator algebra, we construct the coherent states on the circle and investigate their quantum statistical properties. We find that such states show nonclassical features like squeezing and sub-Poissonian statistics even in small curvatures of the circle.

First-Order Polynomial Heisenberg Algebras and Coherent States

Miguel Castillo-Celeita, David J. Fernández C.

The polynomial Heisenberg algebras (PHA) are deformations of the Heisenberg- Weyl algebra characterizing the underlying symmetry of the supersymmetric partners of the Harmonic oscillator. When looking for the simplest system ruled by PHA, however, we end up with the harmonic oscillator. In this paper we are going to realize the first-order PHA through the harmonic oscillator. The associated coherent states will be also constructed, which turn out to be the well known even and odd coherent states.

A ( p,q )-Deformation of Quantum Mechanics

Gong Ren-shan

On a one-dimensional lattice with a geometric sequence spacing, the Hermitian conjugation of a (p,q)-derivative operator is discussed by means of (p,q)-integration. Then a (p,q)-deformation of both the Heisenberg algebra for the canonical coordinates and the Heisenberg–Weyl algebra for the harmonic oscillator is presented. It is shown that although in the algebraic aspect the (p,q)-deformation discussed here is identical with q-deformation given by Truong, the (p,q)-deformed Schrodinger picture is in fact different from the q-deformed one.
