Abstract

We present an approach to realize an all-purpose quantum cloning machine and represent how to realize it using SQUID qubit. In this approach, single-qubit rotation operations and two-qubit operations are adjusted to serve the cloning manipulation. Through changing the time parameters, optimal symmetric (asymmetric) 1 → 2 universal quantum cloning, optimal symmetric (asymmetric) 1 → 2 phase-covariant cloning and optimal symmetric 1 → 3 economical phase-covariant cloning can be performed.

Physical realization of a multi-purpose quantum cloning machine with electron spins in quantum dots

Bao-Quan Sun, Xiao‐Qiang Shao, Ai‐Dong Zhu +2 more

We propose a scheme to realize a quantum cloning machine via coupled electron spins in quantum dots. By properly designing the position of the quantum dots and controlling the coupling between them, a multi-purpose quantum cloning machine (MPCM) including an optimal symmetric (asymmetric) 1→2 universal quantum cloning machine (UQCM) and optimal symmetric (asymmetric) 1→2 phase-covariant quantum cloning machine (PCCM) can be achieved.

Realization of a universal and phase-covariant quantum cloning machine in separate cavities

Bao‐Long Fang, Qing-Min Song, Ye Liu

We present a scheme to realize a special quantum cloning machine in separate cavities. The quantum cloning machine can copy the quantum information from a photon pulse to two distant atoms. Choosing the different parameters, the method can perform optimal symmetric (asymmetric) universal quantum cloning and optimal symmetric (asymmetric) phase-covariant cloning.

PROPOSAL FOR A GENERAL QUANTUM CLONING MACHINE VIA DISTANT QUBITS IN A QUANTUM NETWORK

Yang Yu, Ye Liu

We propose a scheme for implementing a general quantum cloning machine with distant qubits. By regulating some times and phases, we can easily realize almost all kinds of quantum cloning machines (optimal phase-covariant cloning, optimal universal quantum cloning, optimal economical phase-covariant cloning and optimal real state cloning). The quantum cloning machine may have important applications in quantum cryptography for quantum network.

A quantum network for implementation of the optimal quantum cloning

Dai Jie-lin, Wen‐Hai Zhang

This paper presents a quantum network to implement the optimal 1 → 2 quantum cloning in 2 dimensions, including the optimal asymmetric universal, the optimal symmetric phase-covariant, and the asymmetric real state cloning. By only choosing different angles of the single-qubit rotations, the quantum network can implement three optimal quantum cloning.

Realization of the Unified Quantum Cloning Machine Based on cavity QED

Xue Li, Ren Yi-Ming, Nian-Quan Jiang

Based on cavity QED, we first propose the unified scheme to implement the 1→2 optimal universal quantum cloning machine for arbitrary input state, the asymmetric 1→2 phase-covariant cloning and the 1→3 optimal asymmetric economical phase-covariant quantum cloning machine for the equatorial input state. During the cloning process, due to atoms interacting with a highly detuned cavity mode, thus the scheme is insensitive to the cavity decay and thermal field.

Experimental realization of 1→2 asymmetric phase-covariant quantum cloning

Hongwei Chen, Xianyi Zhou, Dieter Suter +1 more

While exact cloning of an unknown quantum state is prohibited by the linearity of quantum mechanics, approximate cloning is possible and has been used, e.g., to derive limits on the security of quantum communication protocols. In the case of asymmetric cloning, the information from the input state is distributed asymmetrically between the different output states. Here, we consider asymmetric phase-covariant cloning, where the goal is to optimally transfer the phase information from a single input qubit to different output qubits. We construct an optimal quantum cloning machine for two qubits that does not require ancilla qubits and implement it on an NMR quantum information processor.
