Abstract

The quantum three-wave interaction model (3WI) with two fermionic fields and one bosonic field is studied on the basis of quantum inverse scattering method (QISM). The Hamiltonian for this model is diagonalized and an infinite number of conserved quantities is obtained.

Quantum inverse scattering method for a nonlinear N-wave resonance interaction system with both boson and fermion fields

Huan-Qiang Zhou, Jian Zhang, Lin-Jie Jiang

The nonlinear N-wave resonance interaction system with both boson and fermion fields is studied in the framework of the quantum inverse scattering method. The model Hamiltonian is diagonalised and the degeneracy of the eigenstates and the existence of the quantum bound states are analysed. Moreover, the classical limit is also discussed.

Quantum inverse scattering method for the nonlinear Schrodinger model of fermions with attractive interaction

Haitao Fan, Fu‐Cho Pu, Bao‐Heng Zhao

The quantum inverse scattering method is applied to the nonlinear Schrodinger model of fermions with attractive interactions. Both scattering and bound-state operators are constructed. Among state operators, there are generators of infinitely many conserved quantities and the creators of the eigenstates of these quantities. The commutation relations and the eigenvalues of physical interest are calculated. The quantum Gelfand-Levitan equations are established. The Fourier transform of the connected part of the 4-point Green function and the two body S matrix are calculated explicitly.

Integrability of the one-dimensional Bariev model

Masahiro Shiroishi, Miki Wadati

We investigate the exact integrability of the one-dimensional (1D) Bariev model in the framework of the quantum inverse scattering method (QISM). Using the Jordan - Wigner transformation, the 1D Bariev model can be regarded as a coupled spin model. We construct the higher conserved currents which commute with the Hamiltonian. The explicit form of the conserved currents helps us to infer the L-operator of the 1D Bariev model. From the L-operator, we construct a transfer matrix which is a generating function of the conserved currents. We also find the corresponding R-matrix which satisfies the Yang - Baxter relation. Thus the exact integrability of the 1D Bariev model is established. The R-matrix does not have the `difference property' for the spectral parameter, as in the case of the 1D Hubbard model. We also provide the Lax representation and the fermionic formulation of the Yang - Baxter relation.

Quantum inverse scattering method for multicomponent non-linear Schrodinger model of bosons or fermions with repulsive coupling

Fu‐Cho Pu, Yi-Zhong Wu, Bao‐Heng Zhao

The generalisation of the quantum inverse scattering method to the study of direct and inverse problems for the multicomponent non-linear Schrodinger model of bosons or fermions with repulsive coupling is made. Two sets of Yang-Baxter equations are solved to obtain commutation relations between the scattering state operators. The eigenfunctions have been constructed for the infinite number of conserved quantities and the eigenvalues of the first three conserved quantities-number of particles, momentum and energy-are obtained. The global Izergin-Korepin relations and the relations between the quantum Jost functions are derived, and from them, the quantum Gel'fand-Levitan equations are established. Finally, the series expansion for the field operators in terms of the scattering state operators is written out explicitly.

The Quantum Inverse Scattering Method

V. E. Korepin, N. M. Bogoliubov, Anatoli G. Izergin

Introduction The quantum inverse scattering method (QSIM) appears as the quantized form of the classical inverse scattering method. It allows us to reproduce the results of the Bethe Ansatz and to move ahead. QISM is now a well developed branch of mathematical physics. In this chapter the fundamentals of QISM are given and illustrated by concrete examples. In section 1 the general scheme of QISM, which allows the calculation of commutation relations between elements of the transfer matrix (necessary to construct eigenfunctions of the Hamiltonian in Chapter VII) is presented, and the quantum R-matrix is introduced. As in the classical case, the existence of an R-matrix and trace identities ensures that a Lax representation for the model exists. Thus, there are infinitely many conservation laws. The Yang-Baxter equation, which is satisfied by the R-matrix, is discussed in section 2. Some important features of the R-matrix are also mentioned. The trace identities for the quantum nonlinear Schrödinger equation are proved in section 3. The general scheme of QISM is applied to the quantum sine-Gordon and Zhiber-Shabat-Mikhailov models in section 4. Spin models of quantum statistical physics are discussed in section 5. It is shown that a fundamental spin model can be constructed with the help of any given R-matrix. The connection between classical statistical models on a two-dimensional lattice and QISM is established in section 6. QISM is the generalization of the classical inverse scattering method.
