Abstract

In this paper, we study the quantum phase transition and the effect of impurity on the thermal entanglement between any two lattices in three-qubit Heisenberg XX chain in a uniform magnetic field. We show that the quantum phase transition always appears when impurity parameter is an arbitrary constant and unequal to zero, the external magnetic field and impurity parameters have a great effect on it. Also, there exists a relation between the quantum phase transition and the entanglement. By modulating the temperature, magnetic field and the impurity parameters, the entanglement between any two lattices can exhibit platform-like behaviour, which can be used to realize entanglement switch.

In this paper,we study the effect of impurity on the thermal entanglement between the normal lattice in three-qubit Heisenberg XX chain, and give the analytical expression of the concurrence.According to the discussion of our result,we find that the impurity parameter has a great effect on the pairwise thermal entanglement,it even can change the characters of the entanglement to some degree.

Quantum Phase Transition and Thermal Entanglement in the Isotropic XXX Model

Fu-Wu Ma, Xiang-Mu Kong

We investigate the quantum phase transition (QPT) and the pairwise thermal entanglement in the three-qubit Heisenberg XXX chain with Dzyaloshinskii—Moriya (DM) interaction under a magnetic field. The ground states of the system exist crossing points, which shows that the system exhibits a QPT. At a given temperature, the entanglement undergoes two sudden changes (platform-like behavior) as the DM interaction or external magnetic field increases. This special property can be used as the entanglement switch, which is also influenced by the temperature. We can modulate the DM interaction or external magnetic field to control the entanglement switch.

The effect of impurity on the thermal entanglement in three-qutrit spin-1 Heisenberg XXX chain

Qin Meng, Tian Dong-Ping, Tao Ying-Juan +1 more

We investigate the impurity entanglement of 3-qutrit XXX-type Heisenberg chains in the presence of a uniform magnetic field along z axis by means of negativity. The entanglement is calculated as a function of the coupling constants J, impurity parameter J1, magnetic fields B and temperature T. Through calculating the negativity between sites 1 and (2,3) N1-23 and sites 3 and (1,2) N12-3, we show that the critical temperature Tc above which the entanglement vanishes increases with the increase of J1. The existence of magnetic fields B can obviously reduce the entanglement, and it is found that the limiting temperature Tc depends on the impurity parameter J1 but not on the magnetic field.

Multipartite entanglement in the Heisenberg XX chain with impurity

Qin Meng, 中国人民解放军理工大学理学院,南京 211101

We studied the entanglements of the Heisenberg XX chain with impurity in the presence of a uniform magnetic field along the z axes by means of negativity. Through analyzing NL-A and N1-A, we show that the critical temperatures for nonzero negativities depend on the impurity parameter J1 and the magnetic field B. It is also shown that as qubit L increases, the entanglements increase when L is odd but decrease when L is even. And the entanglements of the even-qubit chains are larger than those of the odd-qubit chains. The condition is similar with L=3 for NL-A when qubit L is odd, but the entanglements increase with the increase of even qubit L.

Pairwise entanglement in the XX model with a magnetic impurity

Hong‐Chen Fu, A. I. Solomon, Xiaoguang Wang

For a three-qubit Heisenberg model in a uniform magnetic field, the pairwise thermal entanglement of any two sites is identical due to the exchange symmetry of sites. In this paper we consider the effect of a non-uniform magnetic field on the Heisenberg model, modelling a magnetic impurity on one site. Since pairwise entanglement is calculated by tracing out one of the three sites, the entanglement clearly depends on which site the impurity is located. When the impurity is located on the site which is traced out, that is, when it acts as an external field of the pair, the entanglement can be enhanced to the maximal value 1; while when the field acts on a site of the pair the corresponding concurrence can only be increased from 1/3 to 2/3.

DYNAMICS OF PAIRWISE ENTANGLEMENT IN THE THREE-QUBIT HEISENBERG XX SPIN CHAIN

E. WU, Xiaoan Zhang

For a three-qubit Heisenberg XX spin chain with the uniform magnetic field and magnetic impurity, dynamic evolution of pairwise entanglement are studied. We show that the phenomenon of entanglement sudden death (ESD) occurs in the evolution of entanglement for some initial states. We also find that magnetic impurity cannot only eliminate the phenomenon of ESD but also induce the ESD effects, which is different from the case of uniform magnetic field where the ESD can be depressed but cannot be eliminated by introducing the uniform magnetic field.
