Quasiparticle spectrum of a Fröhlich polaron in two dimensions

B. A. Mason, S. Das Sarma

The spectral function of a two-dimensional Fr\"ohlich polaron is calculated to first order in the coupling constant. This result is then compared to the usual Lorentzian and quasiparticle pole approximations to the spectral function, and it is found that several features of polaron interaction effects are lost in these simple approximation schemes.
