Abstract

Two level parabosonic systems are the simplest systems in which the partition function exhibits intrinsic parastatistical behavior. We obtain the thermodynamic partition function for such systems and discuss its important features.

Thermodynamic Functions of a Parabosonic System of Second Order

R Y A Sari, Wipsar Sunu Brams Dwandaru

This study aims to determine the thermodynamic properties of a paraboson system of order two. The thermodynamic properties to be searched include the grand canonical partition function (GCPF), Z , and the average number of particles, N . These parastatistics systems is a more general form compared to a quantum statistical distribution that has been known previously, i.e. Bose-Einstein statistics (BE). Starting from the recursion relation of the GCPF for paraboson system of order two, recursion linkages for some simple thermodynamic functions for paraboson system of order two may be derived. The recursion linkages are then used to calculate the thermodynamic function of the model system of identical particles with limited energy levels which is similar to the harmonic oscillator. The results from Z show that the thermodynamics properties of the paraboson system of order two can be derived and have a similar shape with paraboson system of order one (boson). The similarity of the graph shows similar thermodynamic properties.

DISTRIBUTION OF PARASTATISTICS FUNCTIONS: AN OVERVIEW OF THERMODYNAMICS PROPERTIES

R. Yosi Aprian Sari, Wipsar Sunu Brams Dwandaru

This study aims to determine the thermodynamic properties of the parastatistics system of order two. The thermodynamic properties to be searched include the Grand Canonical Partition Function (GCPF) Z, and the average number of particles N. These parastatistics systems is in a more general form compared to quantum statistical distribution that has been known previously, i.e.: the Fermi-Dirac (FD) and Bose-Einstein (BE). Starting from the recursion relation of grand canonical partition function for parastatistics system of order two that has been known, recuresion linkages for some simple thermodynamic functions for parastatistics system of order two are derived. The recursion linkages are then used to calculate the thermodynamic functions of the model system of identical particles with limited energy levels which is similar to the harmonic oscillator. From these results we concluded that from the Grand Canonical Partition Function (GCPF), Z, the thermodynamics properties of parastatistics system of order two (paraboson and parafermion) can be derived and have similar shape with parastatistics system of order one (Boson and Fermion). Canonical partition functions for parastatistical systems of any order

S. Chaturvedi

A general formula for the canonical partition function for a parastatistical system of any order is derived. The formula expresses the canonical partition functions for these in terms of sums of Schur functions. The only hitherto known result due to Suranyi [Phys. Rev. Lett. 65, 2329 (1990)] for parasystems of order two is obtained as a special case. Our results apply not only to parastatistics but to all statistics that can be defined on the basis of the permutation group, including those for which no simple definition in terms of the algebra of creation and annihilation operators is possible. \textcopyright{} 1996 The American Physical Society.

SUPERSYMMETRIC PARA BOSON-FERMION OSCILLATOR SYSTEMS AND THEIR SPECTRA

Mitsuru Hama, ARATA KOIKE, MAKOTO SAWAMURA +1 more

Para boson-fermion supersymmetry is exemplified in simple oscillator systems. The parasupercharge satisfies the ordinary supersymmetry algebra. The parabosonic and parafermionic oscillators do not commute and the energy spectra are non-trivial for even the one level system. We calculate the partition functions and compare with those for the non-supersymmetric systems.
