Abstract

We investigate the bipartite entanglement dynamics of the system composed by three qubits A, B, and C. There is no interaction between A and B, and that of C and B is Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya (DM) spin-orbit interaction. We find that the purity of qubits A and B and the initial state of the qubit C are the two effective parameters to control the entanglement dynamics of the bipartite subsystems. This study sheds some lights on the control of quantum entanglement, which would be helpful for quantum information processing.

Entanglement dynamics of a Heisenberg chain with Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction

Qiang Zheng, Xiaoping Zhang, Qi‐Jun Zhi +1 more

This paper investigates the entanglement dynamics of the system, composed of two qubits A and B with Heisenberg XX spin interactation. There is a third controller qubit C, which only has Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya (DM) spin-orbit interaction with the qubit B. It is found that depending on the initial state of the controller qubit C and DM interaction, the entanglement of the system displays amplification and sudden birth effects. These effects indicate that one can control the entanglement of the system, which may be helpful for quantum information processing.

Control of entanglement sudden death induced by Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction

We investigate the entanglement dynamics of a system composed of two non-interacting qubits, A and B. A third qubit, C, only has the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) spin-orbit interaction with qubit B. We find that the DM interaction can induce the entanglement sudden death (ESD) of the system qubits A and B, and properly mixing the initial state of the system and adjusting the state of qubit C are two effective methods of controlling ESD.

Suppressing entanglement sudden death by initial system-environment correlation

Ping Yue, Qiang Zheng, Zhongzhou Ren

This paper studies the entanglement dynamics of the system S composed of two non-interactional qubits A and B. The third qubit C is its environment, E, which only interacts with the S qubit B by the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya spin-orbit coupling. Considering the following states as the whole (S+E): the initially S-E correlated state and the separable one, the entanglement of S has no sudden death for the former case. This result sheds some light on the control of quantum entanglement, which will be helpful for quantum information processing.

Effects of Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interacton and decoherence on entanglement dynamics in Heisenberg spin chain system with different initial states

Mei-Yan Cong, Yang Jing, Huang Yan-Xia

With considering the intrinsic decoherence, the dynamic behaviors of quantum entanglement in a three-qubit XXZ Heisenberg system with Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) interaction and anisotropy for different initial states are investigated. The research result shows that the anisotropy parameter does not affect the system entanglement, however, the intrinsic decoherence has obvious inhibitory effect on entanglement. When the initial state of system is an entangled state, we can obtain the stable value of entanglement by adjusting DM interaction parameters appropriately. As the system initial state is a separation state, entanglement oscillates, and the amplitude of oscillation decays with time periodically, and there will appear the death phenomenon after each oscillation, and with time going on, its concurrence will be zero. When the initial state is entangled, by choosing the proper DM parameter, the three pairs of entanglements oscillate with time and eventually approach to a steady value. The increase of accelerates the decay of concurrence. When the initial state is separated, entanglement oscillates, and the amplitude of oscillation decays with time periodically, and there will appear the death phenomenon after each oscillation, with time going on, its concurrence will be zero. Therefore, the proper initial state and DM interaction parameters can control the concurrence effectively under the intrinsic decoherence, thereby obtaining the preferable entanglement resource.

We investigate the Entanglement Sudden Birth (ESB) of two Heisenberg spins A and B. The third controller, qutrit C is introduced, which only has the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) spin-orbit interaction with qubit B. We find that the DM interaction is necessary to induce the Entanglement Sudden Birth of the system qubits A and B, and the initial states of the system qubits and the qurit C are also important to control its Entanglement Sudden Birth.

Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interactions effects on the entanglement dynamics of a two qubit xxz spin system in non-Markovian environment

Georges Collince Fouokeng, Martin Tchoffo, Edwine Tendong +1 more

We investigate the exact entanglement dynamics of a two-qubit Heisenberg XXZ chain with Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) interactions, interacting with an anisotropic spin bath in thermal equi- librium at a temperature T, driven by an external magnetic field B along the z-axis. We establish that, for an initially entangled qubit pair, the DM interactions generate entanglement and enhance the entanglement in the revival region. The effects of the DM interaction are also seen to be very important at high temperatures and for weak coupling between the two qubits where it is seen to preserve entanglement. These effects are weakened when the magnetic field B and the Heisenberg coupling are switched on. If the two-qubits are prepared in an initially separable state, the DM in- teraction instead has a negative effect on their entanglement. On a whole entanglement can better be preserve in the spin chain even at high temperatures by increases the external magnetic field B and the Heisenberg couplings, and by tuning the strength of the DM interaction.
