Abstract

A technique of integration within the ordered product for a fermion system is introduced. In terms of the technique, a new two-mode fermion coherent state representation is found. Some properties and applications of the new representation are derived.

New Approach to the Study of Atomic Coherent State

Fan Hong‐Yi

On the basis of the technique of performing integration within ordered product proposed in our previous paper [1] and Schwinger boson representation for angular momentum, we derive new normal product forms for coset element of group and their product as well as some new operator identities which are useful in studying atomic coherent state. This new formulation provides the possibility of making use of the Glauber coherent state to find new properties of atomic system.

Some applications of a new coherent-entangled state in two-mode Fock space

Xiang‐Guo Meng, Ji‐Suo Wang, Bao‐Long Liang

Using the technique of integration within an ordered product of operators, we find a new kind of coherent-entangled state (CES), which exhibits both coherent and entangled state properties. The set of CESs makes up a complete and partly nonorthogonal representation. Using a beam splitter, we propose a simple experimental scheme to produce the CES. Finally, we present some applications of CESs in quantum optics.

The construction, properties and applications of a new bipartite coherent-entangled state in the two-mode Fock space

Xiang‐Guo Meng, Ji‐Suo Wang, Bao‐Long Liang

Using the technique of integration within an ordered product (IWOP) of operators, we find a new kind of bipartite coherent-entangled state (CES) that exhibits both coherent state and entangled state properties. The set of CESs makes up a complete and partly nonorthogonal representation. Using an asymmetric beamsplitter we propose a simple experimental scheme for producing the CES. Finally, we present some new quantum states related to the CES and some applications of the CES to quantum optics.

New approach for calculating the normally ordered form of squeeze operators

Fan Hong‐Yi, Haider R. Zaidi, John R. Klauder

A new method for directly obtaining the normally ordered form of single- and two-mode squeeze operators is presented. This method is based on the technique of ``integration within an ordered product.'' The operator expressions are derived using the coherent-state representation as well as the coordinate and the momentum representations. The method is very simple, and the approach has an intuitive basis that makes the squeezing property manifest at the outset.

Coherent-Entangled State in Three-Mode and Its Applications

Fan Hong‐Yi, Wen-Qin Wang

We introduce the new concept of coherent-entangled state (CES). By virtue of the technique of integration within an ordered product of operators we introduce a new kind of three-mode CES |β,γ, x ⟩, which exhibits both properties of the coherent state and the entangled state. |β,γ, x ⟩ makes up a new quantum mechancial representation. Its applications in quantum optics are also presented.

New Operator Identities Gained via Coherent State Formulation

Fan Hong-Yi, Ruan Tu-Nan

By the properties of the coherent state and the technique of performing integrations within ordered products as in Ref. [1], we derive some new useful operator ordering identities. Their applications, especially in studying the Boglyubov transformations both in one and two dimensional cases, are presented. The explicit non-unitary operators which turn the coordinate or momentum eigen-state to the corresponding coherent state are also given. Moreover, by using the Schwinger angular momentum theory and the technique mentioned above we find the normal product form of the rotation operator, with which the coefficient of the rotation D-matrix can be easily obtained.
