EFFICIENT SCHEME FOR EPR STATE AND CLUSTER STATES GENERATION WITH SQUID QUBITS VIA RAMAN TRANSITION

Abstract

In this paper, a theoretical scheme is proposed to generate the EPR state of two SQUID qubits and create the multipartite cluster states of many SQUID qubits in cavity via Raman transition. We also show how to transfer quantum information from one SQUID qubit to another directly. In this scheme, the cavity field is only virtually excited and thus the cavity decay is suppressed. The quantum information processing and cluster states generation are realized by using only two lower flux states of the SQUID system and the excited state would not be excited. Therefore, the effect of decoherence caused from the levels of the SQUID system is possibly minimized.

GENERATION OF CLUSTER STATES WITH SUPERCONDUCTING QUANTUM-INTERFERENCE DEVICES IN A CAVITY VIA A RAMAN TRANSITION

XIU-MEI JIANG, Daming Liu, Yi-Zhuang Zheng

We propose a scheme to create cluster states with superconducting quantum-interference devices (SQUIDs) with the help of an auxiliary qubit, by using a quantized cavity field and classical microwave pulses, via Raman transition. In our scheme, no transfer of quantum information between the SQUIDs and the cavity is required. The cavity is only virtually excited during the whole operation and thus the cavity decay is suppressed during the operations and the requirement on the quality factor of the cavity is much relaxed, which could greatly reduce the experimental challenge.

SCHEME FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF THE OPTIMAL 1 → 2 UNIVERSAL QUANTUM CLONING WITH SQUID QUBITS IN A CAVITY VIA A RAMAN TRANSITION

Zhen‐Biao Yang, Bao‐Long Fang, Wen‐Hai Zhang +1 more

We propose a scheme to realize the optimal 1 → 2 universal quantum cloning (UQC) in 2-dimension with superconducting quantum-interference device (SQUID) qubits in a microwave cavity. In our scheme, three-SQUIDs are fixed in a microwave cavity via a Raman transition for their manipulation. Using this method, no transfer of quantum information between the SQUIDs and the cavity is required, the cavity field is only virtually excited and thus the cavity decay is suppressed during the cloning process. Furthermore, our scheme only requires using the two lower flux states of the SQUID system and the excited state is not excited. So the effect of decoherence based on the levels of the SQUID system is possible to minimize.

Generation of W States with Many Superconducting-Quantum-Interference-Devices in Cavity QED

Zhiming Zhan

We propose a scheme to generate the W states with many SQUIDs (superconducting-quantum-interference-devices) in cavity QED via Raman transition. In this scheme, the transfer of quantum information between the SQUIDs and cavity is not required. And the cavity field is only virtually excited, thus the cavity decay is suppressed during the W states generation. The SQUIDs are always populated in the two ground states. Therefore, the scheme is insensitive to the spontaneous emission of the excited level of the SQUID and cavity decay.

Possible Realization of Cluster States and Quantum Information Transfer in Cavity QED via Raman Transition

Zhiming Zhan, Weibin Li

We present a scheme to generate cluster states with many atoms in cavity QED via Raman transition. In this scheme, no transfer of quantum information between the atoms and cavities is required, the cavity fields are only virtually excited and thus the cavity decay is suppressed during the generation of cluster states. The atoms are always populated in the two ground states. Therefore, the scheme is insensitive to the atomic spontaneous emission and cavity decay. We also show how to transfer quantum information from one atom to another.
