Abstract

The s-parametrized characteristic function for the superposition of squeezed displaced Fock states (SDFSs) is given. The s-parametrized distribution functions for the superposition of SDFSs are investigated. Various moments are calculated by using this characteristic function. The Glauber second-order coherence function is calculated. The squeezing properties of the superposition of SDFSs are studied. Analytical and numerical results for the quadrature component distributions for the superposition of a pair of SDFSs are presented. A generation scheme is discussed.

Linear amplifier via the squeezed coherent states superpositions

G. M. Abd Al-Kader

Much attention is given for the squeezed coherent states (SCS's) superposition. The s -parameterized charactristic function (CF) for the output field with the superposition of SCS's as input field is given. The s -parameterized quasiprobability distribution function (QDF) for the output field with superposition of SCS's as input state are investigated. Various moments are calculated by using the s -parameterized CF for that field. The Glauber second-order coherence function is calculated. The quadrature squeezing for the output field are discussed. Some QDF's of the output fields are plotted as functions of the interaction time. Phase properties of the superpostion of SCS's are studied. The s -parameterized phase distributions obtained by integrating the s -parameterized QDF over radial variable are illustrated.

Quantum statistical properties of superposition of squeezed and displaced states with thermal noise

Faisal A. A. El-Orany, Jan Peřina, M. Sebawe Abdalla

The effect of thermal noise is studied on the statistical behaviour of the superposition of squeezed and displaced number states. In our analysis we have employed the s-parametrized characteristic function. For such superposition states exact expressions for quasiprobability distribution functions, normalized second-order correlation function, photon-number distribution and phase space distribution are obtained and discussed in detail.

Quantum properties of a superposition of squeezed displaced two-mode number states

Faisal A. A. El-Orany, A.‐S. F. Obada, Zafer M. Asker +1 more

In this paper, we study some quantum properties of a superposition of displaced squeezed two-mode vacuum and single-photon states, such as the second-order correlation function, the Cauchy-Schwartz inequality, quadrature squeezing, quasiprobability distribution functions and purity. This type of states includes two mechanisms, namely, interference in phase space and entanglement. We show that these states can exhibit sub-Piossonian statistics, squeezing and deviate from the classical Cauchy-Schwartz inequality. Moreover, the amount of entanglement in the system can be increased by increasing the squeezing mechanism. In the framework of the quasiprobability distribution functions we show that the single-mode state can tend to thermal state based on the correlation mechanism. Generation scheme for such states is given.

Squeezed displaced fock states and non-diagonalPrepresentation

A.‐S. F. Obada, G. M. Abd Al-Kader

An R representation with a squeezed displaced-Fock-states (SDFSs) basis is introduced. A non-diagonal P representation for the density operator with SDFS basis is defined. The special cases for the fields, chaotic and laser, are calculated. The Pegg–Barnett phase distribution is given and compared with the radial integration of the generalized P function. The Fokker–Planck equation for the damped harmonic oscillator is considered, and its steady-state solution is given.
