Effects of Intra-Site Vibrations on the Electrical Conductivity in a Disordered Hubbard Chain

Kazuo Hattori

Electrical conductivity is calculated in the Hubbard model for a disordered chain. The intra-site Coulomb repulsion is assumed to be sufficiently strong, and the electron-transfer term is treated as a perturbation. The interaction between electrons and intra-site vibrations is taken into account by two types of coupling terms. The effects of this interaction on the conductivity are discussed.

Investigation of Conductance in the Extended Hubbard Model

S. D. Mostovoy, Oleg Pavlovsky

Abstract The electrical conductance is calculated in the extended Hubbard model on a hexagonal lattice as a function of the magnitude of the interaction of electrons on neighboring lattice sites in the region of the phase diagram where this interaction approximately compensates for the interaction of electrons on the same site. The study is performed using a hybrid Monte Carlo method with the site and link Hubbard fields. A regular excess of conductance over the ballistic limit is detected.
