Abstract

To overcome the expensive pairing operations, pairing-free certificate less authenticated key agreement protocols have been put forward. But most of these protocols concentrated on efficiency and security of two-party key agreement schemes. In this paper, we put forward a pairing-free certificate less authenticated group key agreement protocol. In the protocol, there are no need for pairing operation and the signature for authentication. The protocol provides group key establishment and group key rekeying services for dynamic groups. Through analysis, the proposed protocol is secure and efficient.

Recently, various pairing-based and pairing-free two party Key Agreement protocols in the context of Identity-Based and Certificateless cryptosystems have been published. The pairing-free Key Agreement protocols could improve the efficiency by eliminating the high expense of pairing maps. In this paper, we proposed several secure and efficient Identity-Based and Certificateless pairing-free two party Key Agreement protocols. In compare with related works, our protocols require less computational cost.

Constructing Secure Two-Party Authenticated Key Agreement Protocol Based on Certificateless Public Key Encryption Scheme

Mengbo Hou, Qiuliang Xu

Authenticated key agreement protocol is one of the important cryptographic primitives to ensure secure communication in an open network. Certificateless public key cryptography (CL-PKC) represents an interesting and potentially useful balance between public key cryptography based on certificates and identity-based cryptography. The topic of CL-PKC has undergone quite rapid development with schemes being proposed for encryption and signatures, while certificateless authenticated key agreement protocols are seldom discussed. In this paper, we present a secure two-party authenticated key agreement protocol based on an efficient certificateless public key encryption with pairing. Such a scheme achieves almost all of the security attributes, including known-key secrecy, perfect forward secrecy, PKG forward secrecy, key-compromise impersonation resilience, unknown key-share resilience, known session-specific temporary information security, message independence and no key control. Meanwhile, it is also practical with nice efficiency.

A Secure Certificateless Authenticated Group Key Agreement Protocol

Manman Geng, Futai Zhang, Meng Gao

We present an efficient authenticated group key agreement (AGKA) protocol in certificateless public key setting (CL-AGKA). The protocol only needs two communication rounds. In each protocol run, only four pairing computations are involved for each participant. The authentication in our protocol is realized using a signature scheme which is provably secure in the strongest security model for certificateless signature (CLS) schemes where the type I/II adversary is a super type I/II adversary. The security analysis shows our protocol satisfies Key authentication, Known session key security, Key compromise impersonation security, Perfect forward security, and Known session-specific temporary information security.

Certificateless two-party authenticated key agreement protocol based on bilinear pairings

Yuezhi Zhou

Certificateless public key cryptography has appealing features, namely it does not require the use of certificates and does not have a private key escrow feature. This paper describes a certificateless key agreement protocol based on bilinear pairings. The identity authentication in the protocol depends on a digital signature scheme. This paper proves the security of the signature scheme. The results show that in the random oracle model with the discrete logarithm assumption, the signature scheme resists existential forgeries against adaptive chosen-message attacks. The results farther show that the protocol preserves the desired security properties, including known-key security, unknown key-share resilience, perfect forward secrecy,key-compromise impersonation resilience and leakage of ephemeral private key resilience. The protocol requires much lower computation overhead than related protocols, since it uses fewer bilinear pairing operations and no modular exponentiation.

A Two-party certificateless authenticated key agreement protocol without pairing

Mengbo Hou, Qiuliang Xu

Authenticated key agreement (AK) protocol is crucial in providing data confidentiality and integrity for subsequent communications among two or more parties over a public network. Certificateless public key cryptography (CL-PKC) combines the advantage of the identity-based public key cryptography (ID-PKC) and the traditional public key cryptography (PKC). Unfortunately, construction of CL-PKC and AK protocols has so far depended on the use of identity-based encryption, which results in the bilinear pairing-based schemes that need costly operations. We present a secure certificateless authenticated key agreement protocol without paring, based on the certificateless encryption scheme proposed by J. Baek et al. It shows that the newly proposed scheme is of nice efficiency and practical. Moreover, it provides perfect forward secrecy, PKG forward secrecy and almost all the other known security attributes, such as known-key secrecy, key-compromise impersonation resilience, unknown key-share resilience, known session-specific temporary information security, message independence and no key control.

An Improved secure certificateless authenticated group key agreement protocol

Manman Geng, Futai Zhang

In modern collaborative and distributed applications, authenticated group key agreement (AGKA) is one of the important issues. In this paper, we present that one existing certificateless AGKA protocol has some security drawbacks and does not satisfy some security attributes required for AGKA protocols. To overcome its drawbacks, we propose a secure and efficient protocol upon the initial one and a signature scheme proved secure in the random oracle model. The security analysis shows that our improved protocol can achieve Explicit key authentication, Known session key security, Known ephemeral secrets security, Perfect forward security, No key compromise impersonation, No key control and No unknown key share. With respect to efficiency, our protocol only needs three communication rounds. In each protocol run, only three pairing computations are involved for each participant.
