Research on Security Analysis and Assessment of Quantum Secure Communication System

Jianqiao Sheng, Yuan Fang, Lang Zhang +2 more

The application of quantum private communication system can improve the security protection capability of power information system. However, the application of quantum private communication system may introduce new security risks. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze and evaluate the security of quantum private communication system, relying on relevant national standards and regulations, and using traditional Security risk assessment means for risk assessment and security analysis of quantum private communication systems. This project conducts a security risk assessment for a quantum private communication system. With reference to relevant national standards, the security risk points of quantum private communication systems are studied, and the quantum private communication systems are evaluated from various aspects such as Quantum secure communication system network security, quantum key distribution equipment host security, quantum key application software security, quantum channel security. Focus on finding security risks and improve the system's own security protection capabilities. Achieve the integrity, confidentiality and usability of a quantum private communication system.

QKD-TLS Integration Model for End-to-End Secure Communication

Jeongyun Kim, Taesang Choi, Sang-kil Park

An integration of Quantum Key Distribution and Transport Layer Security is an important research area aimed at addressing the vulnerabilities of traditional cryptographic systems posed by the advancement of quantum computing. QKD leverages the principles of quantum mechanics to provide absolute security, while TLS is a widely used protocol that ensures the confidentiality and integrity of internet communications, offering end-to-end security. The combination of these two technologies is considered a method to enhance TLS by incorporating QKD-generated keys, thereby mitigating potential security risks arising from quantum computing. This paper proposes the QKD-TLS integration models that can support end-to-end secure communication.

Efficient Solutions for Quantum Secure Communications in Future Optical Networks

Michela Svaluto Moreolo, Masab Iqbal, Laia Nadal +1 more

To face the quantum era and the prospect or threat of quantum computing, especially in a disaggregated network environment, the design and implementation of efficient quantum secure communication systems facilitating their integration in the optical network infrastructure is crucial. Quantum key distribution (QKD) is one of the most promising technologies to ensure long-term security. In particular, continuous-variable QKD results as an efficient solution more compatible and suitable to be integrated with conventional optical systems. In this work, quantum secure systems based on QKD for enabling a smooth and sustainable integration in optical networks are introduced, considering the related challenges, towards future secure 6G networks.
