Low-lying collective excited states in nonintegrable pairing models based on the stationary-phase approximation to the path integral

Fang Ni, Nobuo Hinohara, Takashi Nakatsukasa

For a description of large-amplitude collective motion associated with nuclear pairing, requantization of time-dependent mean-field dynamics is performed using the stationary-phase approximation (SPA) to the path integral. We overcome the difficulty of the SPA, which is known to be applicable to integrable systems only, by developing a requantization approach combining the SPA with the adiabatic self-consistent collective coordinate method (ASCC+SPA). We apply the ASCC+SPA to multilevel pairing models, which are nonintegrable systems, to study the nuclear pairing dynamics. The ASCC+SPA gives a reasonable description of low-lying excited ${0}^{+}$ states in nonintegrable pairing systems.

Path integral bosonization of the pairing Hamiltonian

M. B. Barbaro, Alfredo Molinari, F. Palumbo +1 more

As a first approach to a derivation of the IBM from a microscopic nuclear hamiltonian, we bosonize the pairing hamiltonian in the framework of the path integral formalism respecting both the particle number conservation and the Pauli principle. We construct the saddle point expansion which reproduces the sector of the spectrum associated to the addition or removal of nucleon pairs. 1

The Path Integral Approach for the Nuclear Collective Motion

D. Galetti, Salomon Sylvain Mizrahi, B. M. Pimentel

A procedure is developed for treating a nuclear collective motion via the path integral formalism by defining a collective propagator in the "phase space" of the collective subspace. This collective subspace is projected out of the full many-body Hilbert space by an approach of the Generator Coordinate Method. Under the approximation of quadratic "momentum" dependence we write the propagator in the coordinate representation from which we derive the collective Schrödinger equation in terms of a canonical pair and .
