Performance Analysis of Optical-CDMA System with Novel Frequency Hopping Code Scheme based on EPC

A novel optical-CDMA communication system in which the frequency-hopping sequence is based on the EPC was proposed. Fiber Bragg grating array (FBGA) is employed as the encoder and decoder in this system. The code length is shorter with this code scheme hence higher bit rate can be obtained. The numerical result shows that good performance can be obtained by adding double optical hard-limiters.
