Physical Review C

Truncation, statistical inference, and single-particle description

Abstract

A generalization of the time dependent Hartree-Fock approach is presented. The corresponding extension is made by recourse to standard tools of statistical mechanics and allows for a wider scope of applications in comparison with the conventional treatment. The method is illustrated with reference to an exactly solvable U(n) model, with numerical examples presented for the case n=3.

A systematic procedure that allows for corrections of arbitrary order to the time-dependent Hartree-Fock approach is presented and illustrated with reference to an exactly solvable U(3) model. Substantial improvements over the uncorrelated picture are obtained.

Time-Dependent Hartree-Fock and Functional Approaches. I: A Schematic Model

A. Kuriyama

With the use of the Lipkin model as an illustration, the time-dependent Hartree-Fock method is investigated from the viewpoint of the functional approach. The main concerning is put on the procedure of quantization. We discuss how the quantization related the time-dependent Hartree-Fock field to the exact solution.

Nondeterminantal Hartree-Fock theory

George Rosensteel, DAVID J. ROWE

Hartree-Fock (HF) theory is generalized so as to apply to nondeterminantal densities, while retaining the fundamental HF restriction to one-body dynamics. Time development in conventional time-dependent Hartree-Fock and its extension are identical to classical Hamiltonian dynamics.
