Coherent-state Approach to Entanglement and Teleportation

Abstract

Two-mode oscillator quantum states are described via coherent state superpositions. The one-complex-plane coherent-state representation is introduced as a generalization of low-dimensional coherent-state representations of single mode fields. Application to two-mode squeezed states is emphasized, because of their entangled nature and applicability for quantum communication. Continuous variable quantum teleportation is treated in this framework.

One-complex-plane representation: a coherent-state description of entanglement and teleportation

József Janszky, A. Gábris, Mátyás Koniorczyk +2 more

It is shown that any state of two modes of the electromagnetic field (or any other bipartite bosonic system) can be expressed as a coherent superposition of conjugate coherent-state pairs. This representation has a deep connection with both the two-mode squeezing operator and a maximally entangled basis. A description of continuous variable quantum teleportation is presented, as an example of the application of this method.

One-complex-plane representation approach to continuous variable quantum teleportation

József Janszky, Mátyás Koniorczyk, A. Gábris

We formulate continuous variable quantum teleportation on a coherent-state basis. We present low-dimensional coherent state representation of the quadrature Bell states. This approach turns out to be suitable for investigating the teleportation process, yielding a simple direct description.

Quantum teleportation via mixed two-mode squeezed states in the coherent-state representation

Jinhyoung Lee, M. S. Kim, S. Lee

Quantum teleportation for continuous variables is generally described in phase space by using the Wigner functions. We study quantum teleportation via a mixed two-mode squeezed state in Hilbert-Schmidt space by using the coherent-state representation and operators. This shows directly how the teleported state is related to the original state. PACS numbers: 03.67.-a, 89.70.+c

Application of Bipartite and Tripartite Entangled State Representations in Quantum Teleportation of Continuous Variables

Hong‐Chun Yuan, Qi Kai-Guo

We mostly investigate two schemes. One is to teleport a multi-mode W-type entangled coherent state using a peculiar bipartite entangled state as the quantum channel different from other proposals. Based on our formalism, teleporting multi-mode coherent state or squeezed state is also possible. Another is that the tripartite entangled state is used as the quantum channel of controlled teleportation of an arbitrary and unknown continuous variable in the case of three participators.

Continuous-variable quantum teleportation of entanglement

Tyler J. Johnson, Stephen D. Bartlett, Barry C. Sanders

Entangled coherent states can be used to determine the entanglement fidelity for a device that is designed to teleport coherent states. This entanglement fidelity is universal in that the calculation is independent of the use of entangled coherent states and applies generally to the teleportation of entanglement using coherent states. The average fidelity is shown to be a poor indicator of the capability of teleporting entanglement; i.e., very high average fidelity for the quantum teleportation apparatus can still result in low entanglement fidelity for one-mode of the two-mode entangled coherent states.

Quantum teleportation of one- and two-photon superposition states

Ying Li, Tiancai Zhang, Zhang Jun-Xiang +1 more

Quantum teleportation of one- and two-photon superposition states based on EPR entanglement of continuous-wave two-mode squeezed state is discussed. The fidelities of teleportation are deduced for two different input quantum states. The dependence of the fidelity on the parameters of EPR entanglement and the gain of the classical channels are shown numerically. Comparing with the teleportation of Fock state and coherent state, it is pointed out that for given EPR entanglement and classical gain, the higher the nonclassicality of the input state, the lower the accessible fidelity of teleportation.
