Abstract

We investigate the entanglement dynamics in a quantum system consisting of three two-level atoms interacting with three spatially separated cavities with the influence of the Stark shift, and we can find that the entanglement sudden death (ESD) and birth (ESB) will be improved by adjusting the Stark parameters. When we choose the appropriate Stark parameters, the phenomena of ESD and ESB will be appeared, but, which will appear earlier than the other depends on the Stark-shift values.

Influence of the Stark Shift on Entanglement Sudden Death and Birth in Cavity QED

Jian-Song Zhang, Aixi Chen, Kun-Hua Wu

We investigate the entanglement dynamics of two two-level atoms interacting with two vacuum fields of two spatially separated cavities with the Stark effects by employing the concurrence. It is shown that the entanglement sudden death (ESD) and birth (ESB) could be controlled by adjusting the Stark-shift parameters. If the Stark-shift parameters are chosen appropriately, then ESD and ESB phenomena will appear. In addition, the appearance of ESD before or after ESB depends on the Stark-shift values.

Sudden death and sudden birth of atomic entanglement in double Jaynes-Cummings model composed of two coupled cavities

YU Zhong-Quan, Chen Fa-Hua, Chenglin Liu

The atomic entanglement dynamics is studied in the double Jaynes-Cummings model composed of two coupled cavities.Effect of the cavity-cavity coupling constant A and the atomic initial states on entanglement sudden death(ESD) and entanglement sudden birth(ESB) is analysed.By studying the atomic concurrence,it was shown that when the atomic initial states are the first kind Bell-like states,ESD and ESB doesn't appear, coupling of the cavities can increase the atomic entanglement and entanglement occurs even the initial states are disentangled. When the atomic initial states are the second kind Bell-like states, the time intervals between the ESD and ESB,and whether the ESD occurs or not are controlled by the coupling constant A.The atomic entanglement can't be produced by the coupling between the cavities when the atomic initial states are disentangled and in the second kind Bell-like states.

Effect of the Stark shift on entanglement in a double two-photon JC model

Yao-Hua Hu, Mao-Fa Fang, Cai Jian-Wu +2 more

Considering a double two-photon JC model, we investigate the entanglement between the two two-level atoms and that between the two cavity fields, and study the effect of the Stark shift on entanglement. The results show that, on the one hand the atom–atom and cavity–cavity concurrences evolve periodically with time and the periods are affected by the Stark shift; on the other hand, the two atoms are not disentangled at any time when the Stark shift is considered, and for large values of the Stark shift parameter, the two atoms can remain in a stationary entangled state. In addition, we find that the so-called entanglement sudden death can occur under appropriate conditions on the dynamic Stark shift for a certain initial state of the system.

Entanglement of two two-level atoms trapped in coupled cavities with a Kerr medium

Qin Wu, Zhi‐Ming Zhang

In this paper, the entanglement dynamics of two two-level atoms trapped in coupled cavities with a Kerr medium is investigated. We find that the phenomena of entanglement sudden death (ESD) and entanglement sudden birth (ESB) appear during the evolution process. The influences of initial atomic states, Kerr medium, and cavity—cavity hopping rate on the atom—atom entanglement are discussed. The results obtained by the numerical method show that the atom—atom entanglement is strengthened and even prevented from ESD with increasing cavity—cavity hopping rate and Kerr nonlinearity.

The influence of Stark shift on atom-atom entanglement of two identical atoms interacting with mode of electromagnetic field in lossless cavity via degenerate two-photon transitions has been investigated. The possibility of control of the degree of atomic entanglement and the disappearance of entanglement sudden death effect due to Stark shift has been shown.

Influence of Stark Shift on Entanglement of Two Qubits in the Two-Photon Tavis-Cummings Model

Michail S. Mastyugin, Eugene K. Bashkirov

Considering two-atom degenerate two-photon Tavis-Cummings model, we investigate the entanglement between two atoms prepared initially in the coherent disentangled states and cavity field prepared in few-photon Fock state, and study the effect of the Stark shift on entanglement. The results show that the atom–atom negativity evolve periodically with time and the periods are affected by the Stark shift and initial coherent atomic state and that the atom–atom entanglement can be greatly enhanced due to the presence of Stark shift. We also have shown that entanglement sudden death effect vanishes for some parameters of the considered system due to the presence of Stark shift. In addition, the entanglement sudden death effect vanishes due to the presence of Stark shift. We have derived that the dynamic Stark shift can be used to control entanglement between two initially disentangled atoms.
