Abstract

This work presents the entanglement between an electromagnetic field and two-level atom situated inside a quantum optical system. Our optical model is based on cylindrical tube with a hole diameter of the order of nanoscale which leads to only the lowest order mode can exist. Numbers of the statistical features of effective Hamiltonian such as the temporal evolution of the atomic inversion and the von Neumann entropy are evaluated. We have evaluated the atomic inversion and we demonstrate that the atom still in maximal entangled state when the radius of tube a is large. We have used the von Neumann entropy to measure the degree of that entanglement. The results illustrate that the effect of the radius of tube a changes the quasi-period of the field entropy and therefore the entanglement process.

Quantum treatment of a trapped atom inside a cylindrical nanotube

S. Al‐Awfi

We present the quantum treatment of the neutral atom trapped by the two-dimensional optical dipole potential due to a nano-cavity mode. Our model is based on the pure optical trapping of a two-level atom inside a cylindrical quantum system. In particular, when a hole diameter of the cylindrical tube of the order of nano-scale, only the lowest order mode can exist, which means that the optical system operates as an exact single mode structure. We have assumed large negative detuning situation

Quantum Statistical Properties of the Interactions of Atom-Field Entanglement between Conducting Plates

Eied Mahmoud Khalil

The electromagnetic field inside perfectly conducting parallel plates interacting with two-level atom is investigated. The cavity modes are firstly quantized, allowing the effective Hamiltonian to be evaluated for an electric dipole located at an arbitrary point. Some statistical aspect of this effective Hamiltonian such as the temporal evolution of the atomic inversion and the von Neuman entropy are presented. Theses aspects are sensitive to the changes of the distance between the two plates, which control the number of the propagating of the cavity modes.

Entanglement of a two-level atom papered in a finite trio-coherent state

S. Abdel‐Khalek, Eied Mahmoud Khalil, S. I. Ali

In this paper, we study the interaction between an effective two-level atom and a three-mode field. The atom and the field are initially in the excited state and finite dimensional trio-coherent state, respectively. For this sytem, we investigate the atomic inversion, the von Neumann entropy, and the atomic Wehrl entropy. We show that there is a connection between all of these quantities. Also, we prove that the atomic Wehrl entropy exhibits a temporal evolution similar to the von Neumann entropy. It is observed that the Stark shift parameter plays an important role on the evolution of these quantities.

Quantum entanglement in the interaction between squeezing vacuum state field and moving two-level atom

Zeng Ming-sheng, Xie Fang-sen, Huiming Jiang

The properties of the entanglement between squeezing vacuum state field and moving two-level atom are investigated by using the von Neumann entropy. The influences of field-mode structure of moving two-level atom and the squeezing degree of initial squeezing vacuum state field on the entanglement of the quantum system are discussed. The results show that atomic movement can result in evolution periodically of the degree of entanglement. The quantum state will be maximally entangled state for a long time when the squeezing degree are high, the increase of field-mode structure result in more disentangled states.

The time evolution of entanglement and disentanglement between a Λ-type three-l evel atom and a single-mode field initially in the number state in an ideal cavi ty are investigated by considering von Neumann entropy of the optical field. Res ults indicate that entanglement of the system displays periodicity; the maximal degree of entanglement depends on the initial atomic state, the initial photon n umber and the ratio of detuning to the coupling constant, while the number of ti mes for maximal entanglement and disentanglement in a period is independent of t he initial photon number. The initial relative phase between the two lower state s have effects on the time evolution of field entropy, while the initial relativ e phases between the excited state and the ground states of the atom does not.

Quantum entanglement due to nonlinear interaction between a moving three-level atom and a two-mode field with two-photon transitions

Mahnaz Ghorbani, Hassan Safari, Mohammad Javad Faghihi

In this paper, an analytical model for the interaction between a moving -type three-level atom and a two-mode radiation field is presented with two-photon transition and in the intensity-dependent coupling regime. After specifying the initial conditions for the atom and the field, the explicit form of the state vector of the entire system is obtained via the time evolution operator. In order to study the entanglement between subsystems, atom and field, temporal behavior of the von Neumann entropy, as a measure of entanglement, is examined.
