Abstract

Quantum entanglement and teleportation of two qubit X-states subject to heat bath is investigated by partial teleportation protocol. We obtain the analytical expressions of the average fidelity for the X-states with one-side decoherence and two-side decoherence. The quality of quantum teleportation with various initial states is investigated by explicitly calculating the concurrence, the output concurrence and the average fidelity. The results demonstrate that the model is suitable for teleportation, which depends on the initial state. However, the mean thermal occupation number of bath and decoherence could induce the decrease of the output entanglement and the average fidelity in the quantum teleportation processing. We also find the quantum teleportation protocol of one-side decoherence is more robust than that of under two-side decoherence.

Standard Teleportation of One-Qubit State and Partial Teleportation of Two-Qubit State via X-States

Meng Qin, Xu Sheng-Long, Xiao-Yue Zhai

In this article, we derive the explicit entanglement and fidelity expressions for a larger class of two-qubit states, namely, a seven-parameter family of so called X-states. The analytical expressions of the entanglement, the output entanglement and the average fidelity are obtained for this general model by using the concept of concurrence and average fidelity. We study the relations between quantum entanglement, the output entanglement, and the average fidelity for standard teleportation of one-qubit and partial teleportation of two-qubit state. We discover that the average fidelity and entanglement is not a simple dependence relation. The higher entangled system is helpful for teleportation.

Dephasing effects on quantum correlations and teleportation in presence of state dependent bath

Mehboob Rashid, Muzaffar Qadir Lone, Prince Ahmad Ganai

Quantum information protocols are often designed in the ideal situation with no decoherence. However, in real setup, these protocols are subject to the decoherence and thus reducing fidelity of the measurement outcome. In this work, we analyze the effect of state-dependent bath on the quantum correlations and the fidelity of a single qubit teleportation. We model our system-bath interaction as qubits interacting with a common bath of bosons, and the state dependence of the bath is generated through a projective measurement on the joint state in thermal equilibrium. The analytic expressions for the time evolution of entanglement, discord and average fidelity of quantum teleportation are calculated. It is shown that due to the presence of initial system-bath correlations, the system maintains quantum correlations for long times. Furthermore, due to the presence of finite long-time entanglement of the quantum channel, the average fidelity is shown to be higher than its classical value.

The decoherence of quantum entanglement and teleportation in Bell-diagonal states

Meng Qin, Yanbiao Li, Xiao Wang +1 more

We study the dynamics of entanglement and teleportation in Bell-diagonal states. Using the concepts of concurrence and fidelity, the analytical expressions of the entanglement, the output entanglement and the average fidelity with decoherence are obtained for this model. We discover a class of initial states in which the output entanglement and the average fidelity are destroyed by decoherence. The quality of teleportation depends on the system parameters and time.

THE PHYSICAL ORIGIN OF FIDELITY ENHANCEMENT IN THE TELEPORTATION PROTOCOL OF AN ARBITRARY TWO-QUBIT STATE UNDER AMPLITUDE-DAMPING NOISE ENVIRONMENT

Nguyen Van Hop

A new analytical expression for the average quantum fidelity of a teleportation protocol for an arbitrary two-qubit state transmitted through an amplitude-damping noise environment has been established. This expression shows that the average fidelity depends not only on the purity measure and the bipartite entanglement measure of each parallel state forming the quantum channel, but also on the multipartite entanglement measure. This entanglement is generated between the qubits of each parallel state when they interact independently with the amplitude-damping environment. Based on this analytical relation, the physical mechanism for enhancing the teleportation protocol’s average quantum fidelity under two distinct amplitude-damping noise scenarios has been elucidated.

EFFECT OF DECOHERENCE ON FIDELITY IN TELEPORTATION OF ENTANGLED COHERENT STATES

Hari Prakash, Naresh Chandra, R. PRAKASH +1 more

We consider the scheme proposed by Wang [Phys. Rev. A64 (2001) 022302] for teleporting bipartite entangled states, which is a superposition of coherent states |α,α〉 and |-α,-α〉, with our suggested modification [Phys. Rev. A75 (2007) 044305] and discuss the effect of decoherence on teleportation fidelity. We find that if no photons are counted in both final outputs, the minimum assured fidelity (MAF), which is the minimum of the fidelity for any arbitrary information), is still nonzero except for the case when there is no decoherence and the information is in even coherent state. For non-zero photon counts, MAF decreases with increase in |α|2 for low noise but in the case of high noise, it increases, attains a maximum value and then decreases with |α|2. We discuss the variation of average fidelity with |α|2 and show that it depends appreciably on the information for low values of |α|2 only.

Quantum teleportation using superconducting charge qubits in thermal equilibrium

Qiao Pan-Pan, Ahmad Abliz, Jiangtao Cai +3 more

Is this paper we mainly investigate the effects of the temperature and Josephson energy on teleportation of one qubit state in both the standard and the non-standard protocols as well as the partial teleportation of an entangled state under the standard protocol via two identical superconducting charge qubits in thermal equilibrium as the teleportation channel, and give the analytical expression of the average fidelity. Our results show that the teleportation of one qubit state in non-standard protocol and the partial teleportation of entanglement in standard protocol can be almost perfect, indicating that quantum teleportation, with using superconducting charge qubits in thermal equilibrium as a quantum channel, is feasible in theory.
