Abstract

In this paper, we present the controllable four-wave mixing (FWM) within PANDA ring resonator based-on optical soliton manipulation. After a dark soliton pulse is fed into an input port of the resonator, the FWM can be formed within the system and detected simultaneously at the output ports. Under the resonant condition, the FWM can be controlled by adding Gaussian or bright soliton at the add port. Whenever a soliton(photon) is absorbed by an object, an angular momentum of either + ħ or –ħ is imparted to the object, in which two possible soliton states known as soliton spins are seen. In application, the controllable FWM can be used atom/photon manipulation. © 2010 Published by Elsevier Ltd. Selection and/or peer-review under responsibility of I-SEEC2011

Soliton Cryptography Using Dark-bright Conversion in a PANDA

Sa-nga Songmuang, Xaythavy Louangvilay, Somsak Mitatha +3 more

We proposed a concept of cryptography using dark-bright soliton conversion be- haviors within a nonlinear ring resonator, in which the orthogonal soliton is established among the soliton conversion. A new model of add/drop fllters is modifled which is known as a PANDA ring resonator is proposed. The orthogonal solitons can be formed randomly within the system and detected simultaneously at the output ports. The entangled solitons (photons) can be formed in the same way of the entangled photons, but in this case the entangled soliton pair is gained more power that gives the advantage of long distance communication.

SOLITON SPIN IN AN ADD–DROP OPTICAL FILTER FOR LONG DISTANCE SPIN TRANSPORT

C. Teeka, Muhammad Safwan Abd Aziz, Surasak Pipatsart +3 more

A new concept of an optical spin generation using bright and dark soliton conversion behaviors within a modified optical add–drop filters known as a PANDA ring resonator is proposed. The orthogonal solitons can be formed randomly within the system and detected simultaneously at the output ports. Under the resonant condition, the orthogonal solitons corresponding to the left-hand and right-hand solitons (photons) can be generated. Whenever a photon is absorbed by an object, an angular momentum of either +ℏ or -ℏ is imparted to the object, in which two possible spin states known as soliton spins are exhibited. Many soliton spins, i.e., many particles, dynamic spin and long distance spin transport using the proposed design are also discussed.

In this paper, we have derived and presented a new concept of multi orthogonal photon states generated by using dark-bright soliton collision within the modified add/drop filter, which it is known as PANDA ring resonator. By using the dark-bright soliton conversion control, the obtained outputs of the dynamic states can be used to randomly form the multi orthogonal photon pairs, which can be available for computer and communication security applications.

Photon Switching using Nonlinear PANDA Ring Resonetor

Sa-nga Songmuang, Suphanchai Punthawanunt, Somsak Mitatha +1 more

We propose a new system of an all optical switching system using an optical add/drop filter consisting of two nano ring resonators. The dynamic behavior of dark-bright soliton collision within the modified add/drop optical filter device, which it is known as PANDA ring resonator. By using the dark-bright soliton conversion control within the PANDA ring, the obtained output signals can be attenuated and used to perform the single photon switching, which is capable for security code application. Results obtained have shown that the random binary codes based on a single photon switching can be formed by using the polarized light components, dark and bright solitons, whereas the single photon switching codes can be obtained by using the attenuated dark-bright soliton conversion signals output signals.

Soliton spin manipulation using an optical add‐drop filter

Somsak Mitatha, Sorayut Glomglome, C. Teeka +1 more

Abstract By using the optical add‐drop filter which is formed by a microring resonator. After a dark soliton pulse is fed into an input port of the add‐drop filter, the orthogonal soliton pair (dark and bright solitons) can be formed within the system and detected simultaneously at the output ports. Under the resonant condition, the conversion of dark and bright solitons corresponding to the left‐hand and right hand soliton orientations can be generated and seen. Whenever a soliton(photon) is absorbed by an object, an angular momentum of either +h or −h is imparted to the object, in which two possible soliton states known as soliton spins are exhibited and confirmed by the helical phase presentation. In application, the train of orthogonal solitons, that is, many solitons (photons) with slightly different wavelengths can be generated by using the modified add‐drop filter, which is available for many soliton spin investigations. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Optical Capsule and Tweezer Array for Molecular Motor Use

Preecha P. Yupapin, Kathawut Kulsirirat, Wicharn Techithdeera

A generation of optical capsules and tweezers within a modified optical add-drop filter known as PANDA ring resonator with a new concept is proposed. By using dark and bright solitons, the orthogonal tweezers can be formed within the system and observed simultaneously at the output ports. Under the resonant condition, the optical capsules and tweezers generated by dark and bright soliton pair corresponding to the left-hand and right-hand rotating solitons (tweezers) can be generated. When a soliton is interacted by an object, an angular momentum of either bright or dark tweezers is imparted to the object, in which two possible spin states known as tweezer spins are exhibited. Furthermore, an array of molecular capsules and spins, i.e., trapped molecules can be generated and detected by using the proposed system, which can be used to form large scale tweezer or capsule spins. In application, the trapped molecules can be moved and rotated securely to the required destinations, which can be useful for many applications, especially, in medical diagnosis, therapy and surgery.
