Abstract

A new kind of continuous variable n -mode coherent–entangled state (CV-NCES) | x 2 , x 3 , ⋅⋅⋅, x n , α〉 is proposed, which exhibits both the properties of a coherent state and an entangled state, and spans a complete and orthonormal representation. The conjugate state of CV-NCES is derived by the Fourier transformation. Moreover, a simple experimental protocol of generating a CV-NCES is proposed by using beam splitters. As applications of this CV-NCES in quantum optics, a new n -mode squeezing-Fresnel operator is constructed.

A new kind of four-mode continuous variable coherent-entangled state is proposed in the Fock space by using the technique of integration within an ordered product, which exhibits both the properties of a coherent state and an entangled state, and spans a complete and orthonormal representation. The conjugate state of the four-mode continuous variable coherent-entangled state is derived by using the Fourier transformation. Some applications of a new coherent-entangled state in two-mode Fock space

Xiang‐Guo Meng, Ji‐Suo Wang, Bao‐Long Liang

Using the technique of integration within an ordered product of operators, we find a new kind of coherent-entangled state (CES), which exhibits both coherent and entangled state properties. The set of CESs makes up a complete and partly nonorthogonal representation. Using a beam splitter, we propose a simple experimental scheme to produce the CES. Finally, we present some applications of CESs in quantum optics.

A new Coherent-Entangled state generated by an asymmetric beam splitter and its applications

Xu Ma, Shuangxi Zhang, Gang Ren

A new kind of tripartite non-symmetric coordinate coherent-entangled state (TNCCES) $ | β,γ,x >$ is proposed which exhibits the properties of both coherence and entanglement and makes up a new quantum mechanical representation. We investigate some properties of TNCCES such as completeness and orthogonality which prove it is just a tripartite complete continuous coordinate base. A protocol for generating TNCCES is proposed using asymmetric beam splitter. And in application of TNCCES, we find its corresponding Wigner operator and carry out its marginal distribution form; further a new tripartite entangled squeezed operator is also presented. The multipartite CES and its generation are also disussed.

MULTIPARTITE COHERENT ENTANGLED STATE OF CONTINUOUS VARIABLES: STRUCTURE AND GENERATION

Liyun Hu, Hong-Yi Fan

Motivated by the new approach to finding multipartite entangled state representation [Int. J. Mod. Phys. A22, 4481 (2007)], we construct the multipartite coherent entangled state (MCES) of continuous variables which exhibits both coherent state's and entangled state's properties. A protocol of generating such an MCES is proposed by using beam splitters in a sequence. Applications of MCES in studying generalized Wigner function, squeezing and quantum teleportation are discussed.

Intermediate Coherent-entangled State Representation: Generation and its applications

Qin Guo, Liying Jiang, Cunjin Liu +2 more

By combining the beam splitter and the Fresnel transform, a protocol is proposed to generate a new entangled state representation, called the intermediate coherent-entangled state (ICES) representation. The properties, such as eigenvalue equation, completeness relation and orthogonal relation, are investigated. The conjugate state representation of the ICES and the Schmidt decomposing of the ICES are also discussed. As applications, a new squeezing operator and some operator identities by using the ICES are obtained.

Continuum variable entangled state generated by an asymmetric beam splitter

H. Y. Fan Y. L. Yang

The generating entangled state by using a 50/50 beamsplitter has been discussed in the literature before . In this paper we explore how to use an asymmetric beam-splitter to produce a new kind of entangled state. We construct such kind of states theoretically and then prove that they make up a complete and orthonormal representation in two-mode Fock space. Its application in finding new squeezing operator and new squeezed state is introduced.
