Abstract

By analyzing the characters of Thermo Field Dynamics (TFD) that every annihilation operator f acting on real Hilbert space has an image [Formula: see text] acting on fictitious space we should choose [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text], or their linear combination [Formula: see text], and [Formula: see text] for measuring Fermi field's fluctuation at finite temperature. As a consequence, the corresponding minimum uncertainty states are derived, which resembles the form of fermionic squeezed state. This work is the fermionic counterpart of Ref. 8 in which bosonic TFD's minimum uncertainty states are obtained.

NEW MINIMUM UNCERTAINTY STATES FOR THERMO FIELD DYNAMICS

Hong-Yi Fan

In Takahashi–Umezawa Thermo Field Dynamics theory every operator a acting on real field space is accompanied by its image ã acting on fictitious field space, we propose a new uncertainty relation which embodies the finite temperature effect and derive the corresponding minimum uncertainty state — a new thermolized two-variable Hermite polynomial state.

Entropic uncertainty relation at finite temperature

Sumiyoshi Abe, Norikazu Suzuki

We discussed how much information is lost when a particle is in equilibrium with the thermal reservoir of temperature T = 1/beta. The universal temperature correction to the r.h.s. of U(X,P:psi) greater than or = 1 + ln(pi) is determined. For this purpose, it is convenient to employ the framework of thermo-field dynamics (TFD). This formulation of finite-temperature (T not = 0) quantum theory utilizes the doubled Hilbert space, the normal operator (A) acting on the objective space, and its corresponding tildian operator on the fictitious space. The physical probability density associated with the measurement of the normal operator, A, is given, and the information entropy at T not = 0 is defined. The results describe how the thermal disturbance effects in S sub X or S sub P (delta X or delta P) can be suppressed by squeezing with keeping U = S sub X + S sub P (delta X x delta P) its minimum value.

Boson mapping at finite temperature: An application to the thermo field dynamics

Osvaldo Civitarese, M. Reboiro

The Holstein-Primakoff boson mapping at finite temperature and in the framework of the thermo field dynamics (TFD) is applied to treat a fermion-boson Hamiltonian. The interaction between pairs of fermions and bosons is constructed in a model which allows for a condensate. The evolution of the condensate as a function of the temperature is investigated.

NEW APPROACH TO DERIVING THE THERMO-MINIMUM UNCERTAINTY STATES AND ITS WIGNER FUNCTION

Hong‐Chun Yuan, Xue-xiang Xu, Hong-Yi Fan

Based on our previous study [Mod. Phys. Lett. A18 (2003) 677] in which minimum uncertainty states for thermo-field dynamics were proposed, we use a new approach to derive the thermo-minimum uncertainty states via the relation of two-variable Hermite polynomial. In addition, the compact expression for its corresponding Wigner function is obtained analytically by using the Weyl-ordered invariance under the similar transformations, which seems a new result.

Thermo Wigner operator in thermo field dynamics: its introduction and application

Hong-Yi Fan, Nian-Quan Jiang

Because in thermo-field dynamics (TFD) the thermo-operator has a neat expression in the thermo-entangled state representation, we need to introduce the thermo-Wigner operator (THWO) in the same representation. We derive the THWO in a direct way, which brings much conveniece to calculating the Wigner functions of thermo states in TFD. We also discuss the condition for existence of a wavefunction corresponding to a given Wigner function in the context of TFD by using the explicit form of the THWO.

HIGHER-ORDER FLUCTUATIONS IN COHERENT STATES AND SQUEEZED STATES WITH THERMAL NOISE

Chuan-hua Dong, 上海大学物理系,上海 200072

By making use of thermo-field dynamics(TFD),higher-order fluctuations and higher-order squeezing of quadrature components for coherent states and squeezed states with thermal noise have been studied. The higher-order fluctuations of the phase for these thermalized states have been investigated using the concept of measured phase operators. Thus the dependence of the lower-and higher-order fluctuations and squeezing on temperature in these states at finite temperature can be seen.It is significant to discuss the effect of temperature on the fluctuations and squeezing, since the states of real field are always at finite temperatures.
