Genuine tripartite entanglement and geometric quantum discord in entangled three-body Unruh–DeWitt detector system

Tingting Fan, Cuihong Wen, Jiliang Jing +1 more

We studied the quantum correlations of a three-body Unruh–DeWitt detector system using genuine tripartite entanglement (GTE) and geometric quantum discord (GQD). We considered two representative three-body initial entangled states, namely the GHZ state and the W state. We demonstrated that the quantum correlations of the tripartite system are completely destroyed at the limit of infinite acceleration. In particular, it is found that the GQD of the two initial states exhibits “sudden change” behavior with increasing acceleration. It is shown that the quantum correlations of the W state are more sensitive than those of the GHZ state under the effect of Unruh thermal noise. The GQD is a more robust quantum resource than the GTE, and we can achieve robustness in discord-type quantum correlations by selecting the smaller energy gap in the detector. These findings provide guidance for selecting appropriate quantum states and resources for quantum information processing tasks in a relativistic setting.

Multipartite quantum correlations in even and odd spin coherent states

Mohammed Daoud A, R. Ahl Laamara, W. Kaydi

The key ingredient of the approach presented in this paper is the factorization property of SU (2) coherent states upon the splitting or decay of a quantum spin system. In this picture, the even and odd spin coherent states are viewed as comprising two, three or more spin sub-systems. From this perspective, we investigate the multipartite quantum correlations defined as the sum of the correlations of all possible bi-partitions. The pairwise quantum correlations are quantified by entanglement of formation and quantum discord. Special attention is devoted to tripartite splitting schemes. We explicitly derive the sum of the entanglement of formation for all possible bi-partitions. It coincides with the sum of all possible occurrences of pairwise quantum discord. The conservation relation between the distribution of entanglement of formation and quantum discord in the tripartite splitting scheme is discussed. We show that entanglement of formation and quantum discord possess the monogamy property for even spin coherent states, in contrast to odd ones which violate the monogamy relation when the overlap of the coherent states approaches unity.

Time evolution of tripartite quantum discord and entanglement under local and nonlocal random telegraph noise

Fabrizio Buscemi, Paolo Bordone

Few studies explored the dynamics of nonclassical correlations besides entanglement in open multipartite quantum systems. Here, we address the time evolution of quantum discord and entanglement in a model of three noninteracting qubits subject to a classical random telegraph noise in common and separated environments. Two initial entangled states of the system are examined, namely the GHZ- and W-type states. The dynamics of quantum correlations results to be strongly affected by the input configuration of the qubits, the type of the system-environment interaction, and the memory properties of the environmental noise. When the qubits are nonlocally coupled to the random telegraph noise, the GHZ-type states partially preserve, at long times, both discord and entanglement, regardless of the correlation time of the environmental noise. The survived entangled states turn out to be also detectable by means of suitable entanglement witnesses. On the other hand, in the same conditions, the decohering effects suppress all the quantum correlation of the W-type states which are thus less robust than the GHZ-type ones. The long-time survival of tripartite discord and entanglement opens interesting perspectives in the use of multipartite entangled states for practical applications in quantum information science.
