Probabilistic ideas in the theory of Fermi fields: Stochastic quantization of the Fermi oscillator

Gian Fabrizio De Angelis, Diego de Falco, Francesco Guerra

We give a complete description of the Fermi oscillator in terms of ordinary, numerical-valued, Markov processes. This description includes a path-integral formulation for the Hamiltonian semigroup and for the configurational Schwinger functions and the explicit formulation and solution of the stochastic differential equations describing the system in the sense of Nelson's stochastic mechanics.

Fokker-Planck equation associated with the Wigner function of a quantum system with a finite number of states

O Cohendet, Ph. Combe, M. Sirugue-Collin

The authors consider a quantum system with a finite number N of states and show that a Markov process evolving in an 'extended' discrete phase space can be associated with the discrete Wigner function of the system. This Wigner function is built using the Weyl quantisation procedure on the group Z N *Z N . Moreover, the authors can use this process to compute the quantum mean values as probabilistic expectations of functions of this process. This probabilistic formulation can be seen as a stochastic mechanics in phase space.

Stochastic Mechanics and the Kepler Problem: Scattering States

Piotr Garbaczewski, Dariusz Prorok

We establish a manifest connection between the classical and quantized versions of the Kepler problem in case of scattering states. The affinity to the four-oscillator system allows to deduce the stochastic description of the Kepler prohlem, which in the leading order of the tree (semi-classical) approximation is given in terms of three independent Markov processes the latter being driven by the classical Kepler motion.
