Abstract

We present a very simple scheme for generating four-qubit cluster states with one step using parity measurement based on dipole-induced transparency in a cavity-waveguide system. The scheme only uses the photon detectors to check the parity of the spatially separated dipole, which are the same (even parity) or different (odd parity) through measuring the light fields in the waveguide. The initial entangled states remain after nondetective identification and they can be used for successive tasks.

Generation and discrimination of Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states using dipole-induced transparency in a cavity-waveguide system

We propose an efficient scheme to build an arbitrary multipartite Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger state and discriminate all the universal Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states using parity measurement based on dipole-induced transparency in a cavity-waveguide system. A prominent advantage is that initial entangled states remain after nondetective identification and they can be used for successive tasks. We analyze the performance and possible errors of the required single-qubit rotations and emphasize that the scheme is reliable and can satisfy the current experimental technology.

Scheme for generating a cluster-type entangled squeezed vacuum state via cavity QED

文晶姬, Yeon, Kyu-Hwang +2 more

A scheme is proposed to generate an N-qubit cluster-type entangled squeezed vacuum state(CTESVS) based on the two-photon interaction between a two-level atom and the cavity fields with the cavity QED system. The CTESVS in N separate cavities can be effectively obtained after performing a simple one-qubit measurement on the atom. The influence of cavity decay on the CTESVS is also discussed.

Cluster-type entangled coherent states generation

F. C. Lourenço, A. Vidiella-Barranco, Niklaus Ursus Wetter +1 more

We present a generation scheme for the cluster‐type entangled coherent state (CTECS) among four spatially separated cavities. CTECS is a continuous variable extension, proposed by Munhoz et al. [1], of the qubits‐based cluster state, which is known to be the basis of one‐way quantum computing model. In this work we show how such generation could be achieved in a simple way. We consider two types of interaction between atoms and the quantized cavity field; the first one using a three‐level atom, described by the degenerate Raman coupled model and the second one using the dispersive two‐level Jaynes‐Cummings model. Besides the flying atom, which interacts with the four cavities, the scheme also uses one or two Ramsey Zones (depending on the type of atom), where a classical field transforms the atom's internal energy levels in an appropriate way. After crossing the cavities, the atom has to be measured, and CTECS are generated irrespective of the atomic detection result. In addition to the generation scheme, we also study the effect of energy dissipation on the CTECS. Explicit equations for the time dependent density operator and the purity are given.

Preparation of the four-qubit cluster states in cavity QED and the trapped-ion system

Zheng Xiao-Juan, Hui Xu, Mao-Fa Fang +1 more

This paper proposes a simple scheme to generate a four-atom entangled cluster state in cavity quantum electrodynamics. With the assistantce of a strong classical field the cavity is only virtually excited and no quantum information will be transferred from the atoms to the cavity during the preparation for a four-atom entangled cluster state, and thus the scheme is insensitive to the cavity field states and cavity decay. Assuming that deviation of laser intensity is 0.01 and that of simultaneity for the interaction is 0.01, it shows that the fidelity of the resulting four-atom entangled cluster state is about 0.9886. The scheme can also be used to generate a four-ion entangled cluster state in a hot trapped-ion system. Assuming that deviation of laser intensity is 0.01, it shows that the fidelity of the resulting four-ion entangled cluster state is about 0.9990. Experimental feasibility for achieving this scheme is also discussed.

One-step generation of cluster states in microwave cavity QED

Jun‐Qi Li, Gang Chen, J.-Q. Liang

We propose a potential scheme to generate cluster states with one-step operation based on cavity quantum electrodynamics in a multiatom and microwave cavity system with an additional driven classical field. The proposed quantum operation avoids cavity-field induced decay and may achieve the cluster states with ideal success probability.
