The influence of the dipole-dipole interaction and atomic coherence on the entanglement of two atoms with degenerate two-photon transitions

Abstract

Entanglement of two artificial two-level atoms with degenerate two-photon transitions is considered in the case in which the atoms interact with the thermal single-mode field in an ideal cavity. The possibility of controlling the atomic entanglement degree in such a system due to the induction of atomic coherence and direct dipole-dipole interaction of atoms is shown.

The influence of dipole-dipole interaction on entanglement in nondegenerate two-photon Tavis-Cummings model with atomic coherence

The entanglement of two dipole-coupled atoms with nondegenerate two-photon transitions interacting with two-mode field in lossless cavity has been investigated. It shows that the entanglement is dependent on the initial atomic states. The possibility of considerable growth of atomic entanglement due atomic coherence and dipole-dipole interaction is shown in the case of great mean values of thermal photons.

The influence of atomic coherence on entanglement of atoms with two-photon transitions taking into account the dynamical Stark shift

Eugene K. Bashkirov, M.S. Mastyugin

In this paper we investigated the entanglement dynamics of two atoms interacting with mode of quantum electromagnetic field via degenerate two-photon transitions taking into account the Stark shift. We considered the initial coherent disentangled atomic states and field Fock states. We shown the possibility of the control of degree of atomic entanglement due to the Stark shift and the atomic coherence.

Entanglement Between Qubits Interacting with Thermal Field

Eugene K. Bashkirov, Michail S. Mastyugin

We have investigated the entanglement between two dipole coupled two-level artificial atoms (superconducting qubits, ion, spins etc.). The model, in which only one atom is trapped in an lossless cavity and interacts with single-mode thermal field, and the other one can be spatially moved freely outside the cavity has been carried out. We have considered the effect of the atomic coherence on the entanglement behavior. We have shown that a thermal field might cause high entanglement between the atoms both for coherent and incoherent initial atomic states only for small values of cavity mean photon number. We have also derived that the degree of entanglement is weakly dependent on the strength of dipole-dipole interaction for coherent initial states. In the considered model the atoms would get entangled even when both atoms are initially in the excited state.

Entanglement between atom interacting with a thermal field of a lossless cavity and a free atom

Eugene K. Bashkirov, Башкиров Е. К, Maria O. Guslyannikova +1 more

In the present paper we studied the entanglement of a quantum system consisting of two dipole-coupled two-level atoms, one of which interacts with one-mode thermal field in a lossless cavity, and another is outside a cavity. We obtained the analytical expression of the atom-atom negativity for separable initial atomic state and investigated the influence of a detuning between the atom and the field frequencies and direct dipole-dipole interaction on an atom-atom entanglement. We derived that detuning might cause high atom-atom entanglement in the presence of the dipole-dipole interaction. We also showed that the detuning and dipole-dipole interaction are an effective mechanisms for control and operation of the atomic entanglement.

The entanglement of atoms with two-photon transitions in the presence of ac Stark shift of energy levels

Eugene K. Bashkirov, Башкиров Е. К

In this paper, we investigated the dynamics of atomic entanglement in a quantum system consisting of two identical two-level atoms (qubits) resonantly interacting with a mode of a thermal cavity field through degenerate two-photon transitions, in the presence of a Stark energy level shift. An analytical expression is obtained for the atom entanglement (negativity) parameter for separable and entangled initial states of atoms. The influence of the Stark shift on the degree of atom-atom entanglement is considered. It is established that the Stark shift leads to a significant increase in the degree of atom entanglement in the case of separable initial states of atoms and to stabilization of atomic entanglement in the case of entangled initial states of atoms.
