Abstract

In this paper, we derive the higher order Hamiltonian of the three-wave interaction fermion model II by the Neumann expansion and find it physically interesting as related to the pairing process of the high T c superconductivity. The eigenvalues and Bethe-ansatz equation are also obtained by the quantum inverse scattering method.

Quantum Inverse Scattering Method for an Integrable Model

Zhao Hongwei, Liu Wuming, Fu‐Cho Pu

The exact eigenstates of the Hamiltonian for a quantum three-wave interaction system with boson-fermion operators are constructed by the quantum inverse scattering method. The Bethe-ansatz equations are obtained from the periodic boundary conditions.

Integrability and exact spectrum of a pairing model for nucleons

Jon Links, Huan-Qiang Zhou, M. D. Gould +1 more

A pairing model for nucleons, introduced by Richardson in 1966, which describes proton–neutron pairing as well as proton–proton and neutron–neutron pairing, is re-examined in the context of the quantum inverse scattering method. Specifically, this shows that the model is integrable by enabling the explicit construction of the conserved operators. We determine the eigenvalues of these operators in terms of the Bethe ansatz, which in turn leads to an expression for the energy eigenvalues of the Hamiltonian.

Thermodynamics of the Quantum Three Wave Interaction Model

Kenji Ohkuma

The thermodynamics for the quantum three wave interaction model is studied in the Fermion Case I. It is found that the Bethe Ansatz method by Yang and Yang is applicable to this model. The integral equations for the thermal equilibrium and excited states are derived.

Bethe ansatz solutions of the 1D extended Hubbard-model

Haiyang Hou, Pei Sun, Yi Qiao +3 more

Abstract We construct an integrable 1D extended Hubbard model within the framework of the quantum inverse scattering method. With the help of the nested algebraic Bethe ansatz method, the eigenvalue Hamiltonian problem is solved by a set of Bethe ansatz equations, whose solutions are supposed to give the correct energy spectrum.

Introduction to Integrable Many-Body Systems II

Ladislav Šamaj

Introduction to Integrable Many-Body Systems II This is the second part of a three-volume introductory course about integrable systems of interacting bodies. The models of interest are quantum spin chains with nearest-neighbor interactions between spin operators, in particular Heisenberg spin-1/2 models. The Ising model in a transverse field, expressible as a quadratic fermion form by using the Jordan-Wigner transformation, is the subject of Sect. 12. The derivation of the coordinate Bethe ansatz for the XXZ Heisenberg chain and the determination of its absolute ground state in various regions of the anisotropy parameter are presented in Sect. 13. The magnetic properties of the ground state are explained in Sect. 14. Sect. 15 concerns excited states and the zero-temperature thermodynamics of the XXZ model. The thermodynamics of the XXZ Heisenberg chain is derived on the basis of the string hypothesis in Sect. 16; the thermodynamic Bethe ansatz equations are analyzed in high-temperature and low-temperature limits. An alternative derivation of the thermodynamics without using strings, leading to a non-linear integral equation determining the free energy, is the subject of Sect. 17. A nontrivial application of the Quantum Inverse Scattering method to the fully anisotropic XYZ Heisenberg chain is described in Sect. 18. Sect. 19 deals with integrable cases of isotropic spin chains with an arbitrary spin.

A New Integrable Two-Parameter Model of Strongly Correlated Electrons in One Dimension

R. Z Bariev, A Klümper, J Zittartz

A new one-dimensional fermion model depending on two independent interaction parameters is formulated and solved exactly by the Bethe-ansatz method. The Hamiltonian of the model contains the Hubbard interaction and correlated hopping as well as pair hopping terms. The density-density and pair correlations are calculated which manifest superconducting properties in certain regimes of the phase diagram.
