Abstract

The convergence of the iteration process for evaluation of the unitary operator U(t, t0) is proved for a special case.Received 2 April 1953DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRev.91.392©1953 American Physical Society

Unitary expansion of the time evolution operator

Nicim Zagury, Adriano Aragão, Jorge Casanova +1 more

We propose an expansion of the unitary evolution operator, associated with a given Schr\"odinger equation, in terms of a finite product of explicit unitary operators. In this manner, this unitary expansion can be truncated at the desired level of approximation, as shown in the given examples.
