Path integral approach to driven quantum harmonic oscillator using Markov chain Monte Carlo methods

Sohini Marik, Naskar, Souvik, Banerjee, Shibaji

We have simulated the ground states of quantum harmonic oscillators driven either by constant forces of different magnitudes or time-dependent driving forces. The expectation values of position for various combinations of mass, natural angular frequency, and the coupling constant $λ$ were calculated for both driving modes. For constant forcing, coherent states were obtained. The results for both forcing scenarios match the theoretically expected values almost exactly. For the simulations, the Metropolis algorithm was implemented on a discrete time lattice to evaluate the imaginary time path integral of the systems.

Berry Phase for Time-Dependent Coupled Harmonic Oscillators in the Noncommutative Phase Space via Path Integral Techniques

Leila Khiari, Tahar Boudjedaa, Abdenacer Makhlouf +1 more

The purpose of this paper is the description of Berry’s phase, in the Euclidean Path Integral formalism, for 2D quadratic system: two time dependent coupled harmonic oscillators. This treatment is achieved by using the adiabatic approximation in the commutative and noncommutative phase space

Quantum Mechanical Path Integral in Phase Space and Class of Harmonic Oscillators with Varied Frequencies

Badri Berrabah

We present the problem of the time-dependent Harmonic oscillator with time-dependent mass and frequency in phase space and by using a canonical transformation and delta functional integration we could find the propagator related to the system. New examples of time-dependent frequencies are presented.
