Nonclassical Properties of the Even and Odd Intermediate Number Squeezed States

Abstract

The even and odd intermediate number squeezed states are introduced. These states reduce to even (odd) number states and even (odd) squeezed coherent states in different limits. It is shown that these states exhibit nonclassical effects such as sub (super) Poissonian statistics, quadrature squeezing, antibunching for certain ranges of the parameters involved.

Even and odd semi-coherent states have been introduced. Some of the nonclasscial properties of the states are studied in terms of the quadrature squeezing as well as sub-Poissonian photon statistics. The Husimi-Kano Q-function and the phase distribution in the framework of Pegg and Barnett formalism, are also discussed.

Even and odd coherent states of supersymmetric harmonic oscillators and their nonclassical properties

Davood Afshar, Amin Motamedinasab, Azam Anbaraki +1 more

In this paper, we have constructed even and odd superpositions of supercoherent states, similar to the standard even and odd coherent states of the harmonic oscillator. Then, their nonclassical properties, that is, squeezing and entanglement have been studied. We have observed that even supercoherent states show squeezing behavior for some values of parameters involved, while odd supercoherent states do not show squeezing at all. Also sub-Poissonian statistics have been observed for some ranges of the parameters in both states. We have also shown that these states may be considered as logical qubits which reduce to the Bell states at a limit, with concurrence equal to 1.

Nonclassical statistical properties of fields in squeezed even and squeezed odd coherent states

Kaicheng Zhu, Xiangru Li, Qin Wang

We examine the nonclassical statistical properties of the squeezed even and the squeezed odd coherent states defined by the superposed states involving two squeezed coherent states with phase difference π between their displacement parameters. We demonstrate that the fields in the squeezed even coherent state can exhibit a remarkably enhanced squeezing level and mean photon number in comparison with the input squeezed coherent state. We also give examples of physical processes that lead to such a superposition.

In this paper, we use the numerical method to study the influences of and deformations on the quantum statistical properties of even and odd qs-coherent states. It is shown that nonclassical properties of the even and odd qs-coherent states are very different from those of the usual even and odd coherent states. It is found that squeezing and antibunching effect appear for both even and odd qs-coherent states in some range of the parameters , and . The nonclassical properties of the superposition involving two squeezing coherent states

Anhua Zou

We mainly examine the nonclassical statistical properties of both squeezed even and Squeezed odd coherent states defined by the superposed states involving two squeezed coherent states with a phase difference n between their displacement parameters. We demonstrate that the fields in squeezed even coherent state can exhibit remarkably enhanced squeezing level and mean photon number in comparison with the input squeezed coherent state. We also point out the examples of the physical processes leading to such a superpotition.

Nonclassical properties of even and odd generalized coherent states for an isotonic oscillator

Ji‐Suo Wang, Tang-Kun Liu, Mingsheng Zhan

We used the numerical method to study nonclassical properties of the even and odd generalized coherent states and superposition states of generalized coherent states for an isotonic oscillator. The following was shown. (1) The quantum statistical properties of the even and odd generalized coherent states are very different from those of the usual even and odd coherent states, and the N th-order ( N = 2 m + 1, m = 0,1,2,...) squeezing and sub-Poisson distribution appear alternately for both the even and odd generalized coherent states in some ranges of z = |β| 2 . The weaker the isotonic oscillator potential, the narrower the ranges. (2) The superposition states of generalized coherent states may exhibit the N th-order squeezing effect too, and this kind of higher-order squeezing effect appears periodically.
