Abstract

The explicit expressions of the imaginary time normal and anomalous two–point Green functions in the t-J model of high-T c superconductivity without the single occupation constraint as well as those of the real time ones at a finite temperature are derived in the mean field approximation. The possible applications of these results are outlined.

GREEN FUNCTIONS OF STRONGLY CORRELATED ELECTRONS WITH MAGNETIC COUPLING

Nguyen Van Hieu

The explicit expressions for the imaginary time normal and anomalous two-point Green functions of the strongly correlated itinerant electron (or hole) system with the quantum antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic couplings and the strong Coulomb repulsion, as well as those of the real time ones at a finite temperature, are derived in the mean field approximation. In the limit of the infinitely strong on-site Coulomb repulsion, the system becomes that with the single occupation constraint.

Rigorous derivation of the mean-field Green functions of the two-band Hubbard model of superconductivity

Gh. Adam, S. Adam

The Green function (GF) equation of motion technique for solving the effective two-band Hubbard model of high-T_c superconductivity in cuprates [N.M. Plakida et al., Phys. Rev. B, v. 51, 16599 (1995); JETP, v. 97, 331 (2003)] rests on the Hubbard operator (HO) algebra. We show that, if we take into account the invariance to translations and spin reversal, the HO algebra results in invariance properties of several specific correlation functions. The use of these properties allows rigorous derivation and simplification of the expressions of the frequency matrix (FM) and of the generalized mean field approximation (GMFA) Green functions (GFs) of the model. For the normal singlet hopping and anomalous exchange pairing correlation functions which enter the FM and GMFA-GFs, an approximation procedure based on the identification and elimination of exponentially small quantities is described. It secures the reduction of the correlation order to GMFA-GF expressions.

GREEN FUNCTION APPROACH TO THE THEORY OF SUPERCONDUCTIVITY IN THE t-J MODEL

Плакида

The theory of superconducting pairing due to the exchange and kinematical interactions in the t - J model in a paramagnetic state is developed. \nThe Dyson equation for the matrix Green functions in terms of the Hubbard \noperators is obtained in the noncrossing approximation. The linearized self-сonsistent system of Eliashberg equations is proposed to study the temperature and doping dependence of the quasi-particle hole spectrum in \nthe normal state and to calculate the temperature of the superconducting \nphase transition and the symmetry of the gap function.

Non-Equilibrium Green Functions of Electrons in Single-Level Quantum Dots at Finite Temperature

Bich Ha Nguyen

In the quantum field theory with the vacuum being the ground state the Green functions are the vacuum expectation values of the chronological, retarded or advanced products of the field operators (Bjoken & Drell, 1964; Itzykson & Zuber, 1985; Peskin & Schroeder, 1995). They are the generalized functions of the real time variables ti (and also other spatial coordinates). For the application of the Green function technique to the study of the timeindependent phenomena in equilibrium many-body systems at a finite temperature, the Matsubara imaginary time Green functions were introduced and widely used (Abrikosov et al., 1975; Bruuns & Flensberg, 2004; Haken, 1976). They are the mean values over a statistical ensemble at a finite temperature of the chronological products of the imaginary timedependent operators. Both these types of Green functions are inadequate for the application to the study of the time-dependent phenomena in the many-body systems with a finite density and at a finite temperature, in particular the non-equilibrium systems. For the application to the study of the time-dependent dynamical processes in non-equilibrium many-body systems Keldysh (Keldysh, 1965) has introduced a more general class of timedependent Green functions at finite temperature and density. They are the mean values of the time-ordered products of quantum operators in the Heisenberg picture over statistical ensembles of many-body systems with finite densities and at finite temperatures (which may be non-vanishing). The simplest example is the two-point Green function

ON THE THEORY OF SUPERCONDUCTIVITY IN THE HUBBARD MODEL

Nikolay M. Plakida, Ihor V. Stasyuk

A pairing mechanism caused by the kinematical interaction in the Hubbard model is considered. On the basis of equations of motion for two-time Green functions with anomalous pairings taken into account, equations are derived for the superconducting gap of an extended S-type and T c .

Mean field solutions to singlet hopping and superconducting pairing within a two-band Hubbard model

S. Adam, Gh. Adam

The mean field Green function solution of the two-band singlet-hole Hubbard model for high-T c superconductivity in cuprates (N.M. Plakida et al., Phys. Rev. B51, 16599 (1995), JETP 97, 331 (2003)) involves expressions of higher order correlation functions describing respectively the singlet hopping and the superconducting pairing. Rigorous derivation of their values is reported based on the finding that specific invariant classes of polynomial Green functions in terms of the Wannier overlap coefficients v ij exist.
