Abstract

In this paper, we investigate the role of Dzyaloshinski–Moriya (DM) interaction in the pairwise entanglement in the three- and four-qubit XX models with magnetic field. In the four-qubit model, the pairwise entanglements of two nearest-neighbor qubits and two next-neighbor qubits are investigated, respectively. The dependences of the critical temperature at which the pairwise thermal entanglement disappears on DM interaction and magnetic fields are studied in details. At zero temperature, the entanglement can undergo sudden changes with adjustment of the parameters, and the general results of the concurrence are obtained in all cases.

Thermal entanglement in the four-qubit Heisenberg XXZ model with the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction

Zhang Ying-Li, Bin Zhou

In this paper, we study the property of thermal entanglement in four-qubit Heisenberg model, where Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) interaction is considered, and investigate the pairwise concurrences of two nearest-neighbor qubits and two next-neighbor qubits to study this entanglement property. The result shows that for the two-next-neighbor-qubit case, there exists pairwise concurrence neigher in ferromagnetic model nor in antiferromagnetic model; but for the two-nearest-neighbor-qubits case, the DM interaction and the parameter of the anisotropy exchange coupling have a significant influence on the pairwise entanglement and critical temperature Tc. Moreover, the pairwise concurrence will decrease with the increase of temperature. When the temperature execeds its critical value, the pairwise concurrence disappears. Therefore, the pairwise entanglement can be controlled and enhanced by choosing the appropriate parameters of the DM interaction and the anisotropy exchange coupling.

Pairwise thermal entanglement in a three-qubit Heisenberg XX model with a nonuniform magnetic field and Dzyaloshinski—Moriya interaction

Ren Jin-Zhong, Shao Xiao-Qiang, Zhang Shou +1 more

Pairwise thermal entanglement in a three-qubit Heisenberg XX model is investigated when a nonuniform magnetic field and the Dzyaloshinski—Moriya interaction are included. We find that the nonuniform magnetic field and Dzyaloshinski—Moriya interaction are the more efficient control parameters for the increase of entanglement and critical temperature. For both the nearest neighbour sites and the next nearest neighbour sites, the magnetic field can induce entanglement to a certain extent and the Dzyaloshinski—Moriya interaction can enhance the entanglement to a stable value. The steady value of the nearest neighbour site entanglement C 12 is larger than the next nearest neighbour site entanglement C 13 . An interesting phenomenon is that the entanglement curve of C 12 appears a peak value when the Dzyaloshinski—Moriya interaction is considered in a nonuniform magnetic field.

THREE-QUBITS GROUND STATE AND THERMAL ENTANGLEMENT OF ANISOTROPIC HEISENBERG (XXZ) AND ISING MODELS WITH DZYALOSHINSKII-MORIYA INTERACTION

Rouhollah Jafari, A. Langari

We have studied the symmetric and non-symmetric pairwise ground state and thermal entanglement in three-qubits system. We have considered the anisotropic Heisenberg (XXZ) model in the presence of Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya (DM) interaction in addition to the Ising model in a magnetic field with DM interaction. We have found that the increment of DM interaction and magnetic field can enhance and reduce the entanglement of the system. We have shown that the non-symmetric pairwise state has higher value concurrence and critical temperature (above which the entanglement vanishes) than the symmetric pairwise one. For the negative anisotropy, the non-symmetric entanglement is a monotonic function of DM interaction while for positive anisotropy, it has a maximum versus DM parameter and vanishes for larger values of DM interaction. The conditions for the existence of thermal entanglement are discussed in detail. The most remarkable result appears at zero temperature where the three-qubits ground state entanglement of the system (in spite of two-qubits counterpart) shows the fingerprint of the quantum phase transition for a system of infinite number of qubits.

We have studied the symmetric and non-symmetric pairwise ground state and thermal entanglement in three-qubit anisotropic Heisenberg (XXZ) and Ising in a magnetic field models and in the presence of Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) interaction. We have found that increasing of the DM interaction and magnetic field can enhance and reduce the entanglement of system. For negative anisotropy the non-symmetric entanglement is a monotonic function of DM interaction while for positive anisotropy it has a maximum versus DM parameter and vanishes for larger values of DM interaction. The conditions for the existence of thermal entanglement are discussed in details. The most remarkable result happens at zero temperature where 3-qubit ground state entanglement of the system (in spite of 2-qubit counterpart) shows the fingerprint of quantum phase transition for an infinite size system.

Thermal Entanglement in a Three-qubit Heisenberg XX Model with Dzyaloshinski-Moriya Interaction

Feng Gao

Thermal pairwise entanglement of a three-qubit Heisenberg XX chain with the Dzyaloshinski-Moriya(DM) anisotropic antisymmetric interaction under an external magnetic field and quantum teleportation when using the Heisenberg chain as a channel are investigated. The entanglement and fidelity depending on the DM interaction, magnetic field and temperature are given in detail. The results show that the thermal entanglement can be controlled by magnetic field and DM interaction.Quantum teleportation will be better realized via an ferromagnetic spinchain when the DM interaction and external magnetic field are turned off and the temperature is low.The thermal entanglement cannot completely reflect the teleportation fidelity, and the same thermal entanglement could yield different average teleportation fidelities.

Thermal entanglement in a five-qubit XXZ Heisenberg spin chain with the next nearest neighboring interaction

Liu Gui-Yan, Mao Zhu, Bin Zhou

In the study of thermal entanglement of the Heisenberg spin chain model, one usually considers only the spin interaction between the nearest neighboring qubits. Actually, a generalized Heisenberg model, so-called J1-J2 Heisenberg model, which is constructed by considering the fact that not only the nearest neighboring but also the next nearest neighboring spin interaction also plays an important role. In J1-J2 Heisenberg model, due to the next nearest neighboring spin interaction, the frustration effect can occur and has an important influence on the magnetic properties of the model. In this paper we investigate the thermal entanglement of a five-qubit XXZ Heisenberg spin chain with the next nearest neighboring interaction in a magnetic field. Using the numerical method, we calculate the pairwise concurrences of the nearest neighbouring qubits and the next nearest neighboring qubits, abbreviated as C12 and C13 respectively. The numerical results show that the frustration parameter α has an important effect on the pairwise thermal entanglement. Moreover, C12 and C13 have different variations with the change of the frustration parameter α. Meanwhile, it is found that the temperature, magnetic field, Dzyaloshinkii-Moriya (DM) interaction and anisotropic parameter also have great effects on the thermal entanglement. The increasing of temperature can reduce the thermal entanglement. The magnetic field can enhance the thermal entanglement between both two nearest and next nearest neighboring qubits, but when the magnetic field becomes strong enough, only the thermal entanglement between the two nearest neighboring qubits is suppressed. A certain extent of DM interaction can enhance the thermal entanglement between the two nearest neighboring qubits. But for the next nearest neighboring qubits, without the magnetic field, the increasing of DM interaction mainly enlarge the entanglement vanishing area of frustration parameter α. When the system changes from anisotropic to isotropic state, the entanglement vanishing area also changes obviously for C12 and C13. Thus, we can choose appropriate magnetic field strength, temperature, frustration parameter, DM interaction parameter and anisotropic parameter to effectively control and enhance the thermal entanglement of the system.
