A Unitary Approach to Relativistic Dynamics and Quantum Particle Interactions

Eliade N. Stefanescu

In this paper, a Unitary Quantum Relativistic Theory was developed. The wavy nature of a quantum particle involves the relativistic dynamics of the wave packet of this particle, and a field of interaction described by Lorentz’s force and three of the four Maxwell equations: the electromagnetic induction law, and the flow laws of the electric and magnetic fields. These equations arise from the group velocity, which is of the form of the Lagrange equation, and from a relativistic principle for wave functions, which asserts that in any system of reference, a wave function has a bounded spectrum with a velocity limit c. When a magnetic circuit law is considered for a field interacting with a quantum particle, this is an electromagnetic field, propagating with the velocity c. This means that the limit velocity c of a quantum particle according to the theory of relativity is also obtained as a necessary condition of quantum dynamics. The relativistic particle wavefunctions considered in this framework, describing finite distributions of densities in the two conjugated spaces of the coordinates and momentum, provide a better description of a collisional phenomenon, in a finite volume occupied by these particles and the photon mediating this collision according to Quantum Electrodynamics.

The Relativistic Dynamics of a System of Particles Interacting at a Distance

L. H. Thomas

The dynamics of a system of particles acting on one another at a distance can be relativistically invariant if the assumption of invariant world-lines is given up. This is shown by constructing a particular dynamics in which invariance over the homogeneous Lorentz group is trivial, but space as well as time displacement requires the solution of equations of motion or of a Schroedinger equation. This particular dynamics reduces in the nonrelativistic limit to the most general dynamics of a system of interacting particles admitting the Newtonian group.

Isotropic Forms of Dynamics in the Relativistic Direct Interaction Theory

Askold Duviryak, Volodymyr Shpytko, V. I. Tretyak

The Lagrangian relativistic direct interaction theory in the various forms of dynamics is formulated and its connections with the Fokker-type action theory and with the constrained Hamiltonian mechanics are established. The motion of classical two-particle system with relativistic direct interaction is analysed within the framework of isotropic forms of dynamics in the two- and four-dimensional space-time. Some relativistic exactly solvable quantum-mechanical models are also discussed.
