Abstract

Virtual Private Networks have been efficient tools that provide inter-connectivity to exchange information between different (remote) parties that belong to a specific network. A virtual private network possesses all the features of the private networks and are built upon existing network, but they suffer severe security problems, particularly, the authentication problem. In this paper we propose a new model for the VPN based on certificateless cryptography to authenticate users and establish a secure session between them. The new model solves the PKI problems of the certificates management in the VPNs.

A new certificateless authenticated two-party key agreement

YuXiu-Ying, ZhangWen-Fang, HeDa-Ke

Authenticated key agreement (AKA) protocol allows two or multi-parties exchange messages, authenticate each other and establish shared session keys for later secure communications over an open network. The certificateless -based authenticated key agreement protocols combined the advantages of the traditional PKI and the identity-based cryptography. This paper analyzes a proposed AKA protocol[6] and presents a new certificateless AKA protocol. Furthermore, we examines the security of the new protocol and compare it to the existing certificateless key agreement protocols in efficiency. The new proposed scheme achieves almost all of the desired security attributes and is more practicable.

Yet Another Certificateless Three-Party Authenticated Key Agreement Protocol

Jianbin Hu, Hu Xiong, Zhi Guan +4 more

Key agreement protocols are multi-party protocols in which entities exchange public information allowing them to create a common secret key that is known only to those entities and which cannot be predetermined by any party. Recently, the notion of certificateless public key cryptography was introduced to mitigate the heavy certificate management burden in traditional public key infrastructure and key escrow problem in ID-based cryptosystem. In this paper, we present an efficient certificateless three-party authenticated key agreement protocol based on certificateless signature scheme. We show that the proposed protocol is secure (i.e. conforms to defined security attributes) while being efficient.

Secure and Efficient Two-Party Authenticated Key Agreement Protocol from Certificateless Public Key Encryption Scheme

Mengbo Hou, Qiuliang Xu

As the fundamental building block for secure communication in the open network, authenticated key agreement protocols are usually constructed in the public key setting. Certificateless public key cryptography combines the advantage of the identity-based public key cryptography (ID-PKC) and the traditional PKI. In this paper, we present a secure and efficient two-party authenticated key agreement protocol based on the efficient certificateless public key encryption scheme due to Cheng and Comley. Security analysis shows that it achieves perfect forward secrecy, PKG forward secrecy and almost all the other known security attributes for authenticated key agreement protocol, such as known-key secrecy, key-compromise impersonation resilience, unknown key-share resilience, known session-specific temporary information security, message independence and no key control. Compared to other comparable schemes, it is more secure and has nice efficiency.

An enhanced certificateless authenticated key agreement protocol

Razieh Mokhtarnameh, Sin-Ban Ho, Nithiapidary Muthuvelu

Authenticated key agreement protocol is used to share a secret key for encrypting data being transferred between two or more parties over a public network. An implementation of this protocol is the certificateless key agreement which utilizes the features of the identity-based public key cryptography and the traditional public key infrastructure. This implementation can produce multiple public keys for a corresponding private key. In this paper, an alternative key generation technique is proposed for certificateless public key cryptography in order to have one public key for one private key. This will improve the security features of the relevant key generation. Furthermore, the efficiency of the proposed protocol is presented in terms of computational operation. The comparison analysis shows that the proposed protocol conveys better efficiency with all the known security attributes compared to the existing protocols.

Constructing certificateless-based two-party authenticated key agreement protocol

Han Jiang

The certificateless -based authenticated key agreement protocols have the advantages of simplicity of managing identities compared to the PKI-based schemes,as well as avoiding the key escrow issues inherited in the identity-based schemes. This paper proposes a two-party certificateless-based authenticated key agreement scheme based on a provably secure certificateless-based public key encryption scheme. The comparisons with other comparable schemes in security and efficiency show that, the new scheme achieves more of the desired security attributes, such as perfect forward secrecy,PKG forward secrecy, known session-specific temporary information secrecy and key escrowless.Meanwhile it keeps the nice computational efficiency.

Robust Framework for Certificateless Authenticated Key Agreement Protocol

Smita R. Chunamari, D. G. Borse

Authenticated key agreement protocol is exploited to share a secret key for encrypting information being transferred between two or additional parties over a public network. In this implementation can produce multiple public keys for a corresponding private key. In this paper, an alternative key generation technique is proposed for certificate less public key cryptography in order to have one public key for one private key. This will improve the security features of the relevant key generation.
