Abstract

We propose a scheme to prepare many two-mode cavities into one-dimensional cluster states in the context of cavity QED. The left-circularly polarized state and right-circularly polarized state of the cavity are encoded as the logic zero and one of the qubits. In the scheme, the atomic spontaneous emission is suppressed, and the fidelity is unaffected by the cavity decay on the assumption that the detection efficiencies of all the photondetectors are 1.

Schemes for generating the cluster states in microwave cavity QED

XuBo Zou, Wolfgang M. Mathis

We propose two experimental schemes to generate the cluster states in the context of microwave cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED). In the first scheme to prepare many cavities into the cluster states, we encode the vacuum state and one-photon state of the microwave cavity as the logic zero and one of the qubits. The second scheme is to prepare many atoms into the cluster states, where qubits are represented by the states of Rydberg atoms. Both schemes require the resonant atom-cavity interaction so that the quantum dynamics operates at a high speed, which is important in view of decoherence.

Generation of Cluster States in Cavity QED

Zhou Yan-Li, Yang Li-Jia, Hong‐Yi Dai

We propose two schemes for the generation of cluster states in the context of cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED). In the first scheme, we prepare multi-cavity cluster states with information encoded in the coherent states. The second scheme is to generate multi-atom cluster states, where qubits are represented by the states of cascade Rydberg atoms. Both the schemes are based on the atom-cavity interaction and the atomic spontaneous radiation can be efficiently reduced since the cavity frequency is largely detuned from the atomic transition frequency.

Efficient and high-fidelity generation of atomic cluster states with cavity QED and linear optics

X. L. Zhang, K. L. Gao, M. Feng

We propose a scheme to generate cluster states of atomic qubits by using cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED) and linear optics, in which each atom is confined in a resonant optical cavity with two orthogonally polarized modes. Our scheme is robust to imperfect factors such as dissipation, photon loss, and detector inefficiency. We discuss the experimental feasibility of our scheme.

Possible Realization of Cluster States and Quantum Information Transfer in Cavity QED via Raman Transition

Zhiming Zhan, Weibin Li

We present a scheme to generate cluster states with many atoms in cavity QED via Raman transition. In this scheme, no transfer of quantum information between the atoms and cavities is required, the cavity fields are only virtually excited and thus the cavity decay is suppressed during the generation of cluster states. The atoms are always populated in the two ground states. Therefore, the scheme is insensitive to the atomic spontaneous emission and cavity decay. We also show how to transfer quantum information from one atom to another.

Preparation of Cluster States of Atomic Qubits in Cavity QED

Yu Guo, Deng Hong-Liang

We propose an optical scheme to generate cluster states of atomic qubits, with each trapped in separate optical cavity, via atom-cavity-laser interaction. The quantum information of each qubit is encoded on the degenerate ground states of the atom, hence the entanglement between them is relatively stable against spontaneous emission. A single-photon source and two classical fields are employed in the present scheme. By controlling the sequence and time of atom-cavity-laser interaction, we show that the atomic cluster states can be produced deterministically.
