Fractional Exclusion Statistics for thet-JModel with Long Range Exchange and Hopping

Yusuke S. Kato, Yoshio Kuramoto

We construct thermodynamics of the one-dimensional supersymmetric t-J model with the 1/sin 2 interaction and hopping. The thermodynamics is described exactly in terms of free spinons and holons obeying Haldane's fractional exclusion statistics at all temperatures. Moreover, at low temperatures the semionic spinons and holons decouple resulting in the spin-charge separation in thermodynamic properties. We obtain explicit results for the spin and charge susceptibilities and specific heat, and interpret them in terms of the fractional exclusion statistics. Extension to the multi-component t-J model shows that the excitations obey either fractional statistics for g-ons with partial polarization of components, or the parafermionic one without polarization.

Magnetic properties of thet-Jmodel in the dynamical mean-field theory

Thomas Pruschke, Q Qin, Th Obermeier +1 more

We present a theory for the spin correlation function of the t - J model in the framework of the dynamical mean-field theory. Using this mapping between the lattice and a local model we are able to obtain an intuitive expression for the nonlocal spin susceptibility, with the corresponding local correlation function as input. The latter is calculated by means of local Goldstone diagrams following closely the procedures developed and successfully applied for the (single-impurity) Anderson model. We present a systematic study of the magnetic susceptibility and compare our results with those of a Hubbard model at large U. Similarities and differences are pointed out and the magnetic phase diagram of the t - J model is discussed.
