Abstract

Based on the technique of integration within an ordered product of operators, the Weyl ordering operator formula is derived and the Fresnel operators' Weyl ordering is also obtained, which together with the Weyl transformation can immediately lead to Fresnel transformation kernel in classical optics.

A DERIVATION OF THE WEYL ORDERED FORM OF TWO-MODE FRESNEL OPERATOR BY VIRTUE OF THE WEYL OPERATOR ORDERING METHOD

Gang Ren, Jian-ming Du

Based on the technique of integration with a Weyl ordered product (IWWOP) for the two-mode operator, we derive out the Weyl ordered form of two-mode Fresnel operator (TFO). The multiplication rule for TFO and the matrix element of Weyl ordered form of TFO in coordinate eigenstates are also discussed.

Based on the explicit Weyl-ordered form of Wigner operator and the technique of integration within Weyl-ordered product of operators we derive the Weyl-ordered operator product formula. The formula is then generalized to the entangled form with the help of entangled state representations.

Weyl ordering expansion for optical field phase operator and inverse operators

Xuechao Li, Yang Yang, Fan Hong‐Yi

Using the technique of integration within an ordered product of operators, we derive Weyl ordered expansion for optical field phase operator and inverse of creation and annhilation operators. The results are used to obtain the classical correspondence, new generation function formula of some special functions and new integration formulas. In particular, for the first time we derive complex Gaussian integral formula when the integrand has negative power function.

Xuefen Xu

By using the technique of integration within an ordered product(IWOP) of operators, which is proposed in Ref.[1],the paper derives the useful light-field operator formulas(in ACTA SINICA Quantum Optica,Vol.8(2002) p8-12 written by Chen Chang-yuan) in a convenient and easily be remembered way. Some other operator formulas about two-variable Hermite polynomials are also derived.

Operator ordering in quantum optics theory and the development of Dirac s symbolic method

Hong-Yi Fan

We present a general unified approach for arranging quantum operators of optical fields into ordered products (normal ordering, antinormal ordering, Weyl ordering (or symmetric ordering)) by fashioning Dirac's symbolic method and representation theory. We propose the technique of integration within an ordered product (IWOP) of operators to realize our goal. The IWOP makes Dirac's representation theory and the symbolic method more transparent and consequently more easily understood. The beauty of Dirac's symbolic method is further revealed. Various applications of the IWOP technique, such as in developing the entangled state representation theory, nonlinear coherent state theory, Wigner function theory, etc, are presented.
