Analytical Bethe Ansatz for quantum-algebra-invariant spin chains

Luca Mezincescu, Rafael I. Nepomechie

We have recently constructed a large class of open quantum spin chains which have quantum-algebra symmetry and which are integrable. We show here that these models can be exactly solved using a generalization of the analytical Bethe Ansatz (BA) method. In particular, we determine in this way the spectrum of the transfer matrices of the Uq[su(2)]-invariant spin chains associated with A1(1) and A2(2) in the fundamental representation. The quantum-algebra invariance of these models plays an essential role in obtaining these results. The BA equations for these open chains are “doubled” with respect to the BA equations for the corresponding closed chains.

Algebraic Bethe ansatz for the one-dimensional Hubbard model with open boundaries

Xi‐Wen Guan

The one-dimensional Hubbard model with open boundary conditions is exactly solved by means of the algebraic Bethe ansatz. The eigenvalue of the transfer matrix and the energy spectrum, as well as the Bethe ansatz equations, are obtained.

Exact solution of SU(2)-invariant Thirring model with non-diagonal open boundaries

Tang Mei-Juan, Yanshen Wang, 西安交通大学理学院应用物理系,西安 710049

The SU(2)-invariant Thirring model with non-diagonal open boundaries in one spatial and one time dimensions is studied in the framework of quantum inverse scattering method. With the help of guage transformation independent of spectral parameter in the auxiliary space, suitable Fock vacuum state is constructed. The eigenvalues and its Bethe Ansatz equations of the transfer matrix are obtained by mean of Bethe Ansatz, and finally the boundary freedom degrees of the system are discussed.

Analytic Bethe ansatz for 1D Hubbard model and twisted coupledXYmodel

Ruihong Yue, Tetsuo Deguchi

We have found the eigenvalues of the transfer matrices for the 1D Hubbard model and for the coupled XY model with a twisted boundary condition by using the analytic Bethe ansatz method. Under a particular condition the two models have the same Bethe ansatz equations. We have also proved that the periodic 1D Hubbard model is exactly equal to the coupled XY model with a non-trivial twisted boundary condition at the level of Hamiltonians and transfer matrices.
