Abstract

We investigate the two-dimensional t - J model by the Green function approach with the Hubbard operator. The phase diagram, including the Neel temperature and the superconducting transition temperature simultaneously, is derived. The results are consistent with experiments of cuprate compounds.

Superconductivity in the quasi-two-dimensional Hubbard model

Xin-Zhong Yan

On the basis of spin-pairing-fluctuation-exchange approximation, we study the superconductivity in the quasi-two-dimensional Hubbard model. The integral equations for the Green's function are self-consistently solved by numerical calculation. Solutions for the order parameter, London penetration depth, density of states, and transition temperature are obtained. Some of the results are compared with the experiments for the cuprate high-temperature superconductors. Numerical techniques are presented in detail. With these techniques, the amount of numerical computations can be greatly reduced.

Modified two-band two-dimensional Hubbard model for the description of the high critical temperature superconducting phase transition in cuprates

Adam, Gheorghe, Adam, S.

A progress report on the development of numerical and rigorous solutions of the effective two-band two-dimensional Hubbard model of the high-temperature superconductivity in cuprates [N.M. Plakida et al., PRB 51, 16599 (1995)], within the equation of motion technique of the thermodynamic Green function approach, is given. Four important consequences of the rigorous mean-field solution are worth mentioning: (1) Occurrence, both in the normal and superconducting states, of the spin-charge separation, conjectured by P.W. Anderson on intuitive grounds. (2) Origin of the static d-wave pairing in the hopping singlet conduction. (3) Complete suppression of the s-type superconducting pairing by the crystal symmetry in square two- dimensional lattices and occurrence of a residual s-type term in rectangular lattices, in agreement with the experiment. (4) The energy band hybridization in the superconducting state points to an overall displacement of the energy spectrum toward lower energies, as pointed by very precise optical measurements.

The T-J Model and Superconductivity

MI Umo

The t-J model written in terms of Hubbard operators is studied with a view to contributing to the search for the mechanism of high temperature superconductivity in the cuprates. The method of irreducible Green function is used to obtain the spectrum of quasiparticles excitation and d-wave pairing gap function.

Phase diagram of the two-dimensional negative- U Hubbard model

Richard T. Scalettar, Eugene Loh, James E. Gubernatis +5 more

Theoretical arguments and numerical calculations are used to discuss the phase diagram of the two-dimensional negative-U Hubbard model. Our results are consistent with (1) a vanishing transition temperature at half-filling but with a ground state having both superconducting and charge-density-wave long-range order, and (2) a Kosterlitz-Thouless transition at a finite temperature into a superconducting state with power-law decay of the pairing correlations away from half-filling.

Finiteness of the Hopping Induced Energy Corrections in Cuprates

Gh. Adam, S. Adam

The paper continues the rigorous investigations of the mean field Green function solution of the effective two-dimensional two-band Hubbard model [N. M. Plakida et al., Phys. Rev. B, Vol.51, 16599 (1995)] of the superconducting phase transitions in cuprates, started in [Gh. Adam, S. Adam, J. Phys. A: Math. Theor., Vol.40, 11205 (2007)]. Discussion of the $(δ, T)$ phase diagram of the model points to the divergence of the energy spectrum in the limit of vanishing doping $δ$. Finite energy spectra at all possible doping rates $δ$ are obtained provided the hopping part of the effective Hamiltonian is renormalized with an effective factor pointing to the site-pairs availability for fermion hopping processes.
