Boson realization from quantum constraints

Mircea Iosifescu, Horia Scutaru

Generalized Holstein–Primakoff realizations deduced by Deenen, Quesne, and Papanicolaou are obtained directly from the algebraic identities satisfied in collective subspaces by the infinitesimal generators of the corresponding dynamical groups.

Generalized Holstein-Primakoff squeezed states for SU(n)

Jacob Katriel, Mario Rasetti, A. I. Solomon

We show how to define multiphoton, many-mode squeezed states for SU(n), using a generalized Holstein-Primakoff realization. We prove that for the class of realizations given, the resulting squeezing reduces to that of SU(2), and exemplify with a specific calculation for SU(3).

Holstein–Primakoff Boson Realization for the Hydrogen Atom

Bong-Yi Fan, Zhongxi Zhang

We apply the Holstein–Primakoff transformation to the orbital angular momentum and the Runge–Lenz operators of a hydrogen atom to study its classical Kepler's problem. In this way the classical Kepler's frequency can be directly obtained without introducing Schwinger's boson realization and boson coherent states.
