Abstract

Based on the interaction of a superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) with the field in high-quality QED and a classical microwave pulse, we propose a scheme for preparing an entangled multipartite W state between different modes of cavity field. In principle, the scheme can be extended to generate a N-party W state. Moreover, the scheme can be used for the generation of multimode entangled coherent states.

Preparation of Entanglement and Schrödinger Cat States of Superconducting Quantum Interference Devices Qubits via Coupling to a Microwave Cavity

Wen‐Xing Yang

An alternative scheme is proposed for the generation of n-qubit W states of superconducting quantum interference devices (SQUID) in cavity QED. In this scheme, Raman coupling of two lower flux states of SQUID system is achieved via a microwave pulse and the cavity mode. Conditioned on no photon leakage from the cavity, the n-qubit W state can be generated whether the effective coupling parameters of the SQUID to cavity mode and classical microwave fields are the same or different. Our strictly numerical simulations of the time evolution of the system including decay show that the success probability of our scheme is almost unity and the interaction time is on the order of 10 −9 s. The scheme can also be used to generate the Schrödinger cat states of multi-SQUID.

Scheme for Preparation of the W State via Cavity QED

Zhiming Zhan, Jiahua Li, Luo Jin-Ming

We put forward a scheme for preparation of an entangled multiparty W state between different modes of radiation field inside high-Q cavity QED. Our scheme is based on the interaction of a two-level atom with the cavity field with the assistance of a strong classical driving field for precalculated interaction time. In principle, the scheme can be extended to prepare an N-party W state. The required experimental techniques are within the scope of what can be obtained in the microwave cavity QED setup.

Generation of Entangled States of Multiple Superconducting Quantum Interference Devices in Cavity

Zhiming Zhan, Jiahua Li, Weibin Li

We propose a scheme for generating the maximally entangled states of many superconducting quantum interference devices (SQUIDs) by using a quantized cavity field and classical microwave pulses in cavity. In the scheme, the maximally entangled states can be generated without requiring the measurement and individual addressing of the SQUIDs.

Multipartite entanglement in the interaction system between a single-mode microwave cavity field and superconducting charge qubits

Shi Zhen-Gang, Xiongwen Chen, Zhu Xi-Xiang +1 more

This paper proposes a method of generating multipartite entanglement through using d.c. superconducting quantum interference devices (SQUID) inside a standing wave cavity. In this scheme, the d.c. SQUID works in the charge region. It is shown that, a large number of important multipartite entangled states can be generated by a controllable interaction between a cavity field and qubits. It is even possible to produce entangled states involving different cavity modes based on the measurement of charge qubits states. After such superpositions states are created, the interaction can be switched off by the classical magnetic field through the SQUID, and there is no information transfer between the cavity field and the charge qubits.

Realization of Greenberg–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ) and W Entangled States with Multiple Superconducting Quantum-Interference Device Qubits in Cavity QED

Anshou Zheng, Wan Zhen-Zhu, Bi Jie

An alternative scheme is proposed for generating the Greenberg–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ) and W types of the entangled states with multiple superconducting quantum-interference device (SQUID) qubits in a single-mode microwave cavity field. In this scheme, there is no transfer of quantum information between the SQUIDs and the cavity, the cavity is always in the vacuum and thus the requirement on the quality of cavity is greatly loosened. In addition, during the process of the generation of the W entangled state, the present method does not involve a real excitation of intermediate levels. Thus, decoherence due to energy relaxation of intermediate levels is minimized.
