Quantum collisional classifier driven by information reservoirs

Ufuk Korkmaz, Deniz Türkpençe

We investigate the open dynamics of a probe qubit weakly interacting with distinct qubit environments bearing quantum information. We show that the proposed dissipative model yields a binary classification of the reservoir qubits' quantum information in the steady state in the Bloch qubit parameter space, depending on the coupling rates. To describe the dissipation model dynamics, we have adopted the collision model, in which the input information parameters of the reservoir qubits are easily determined. We develop a generalized classification rule based on the results of the micromaserlike master equation where the classification can be described in terms of the Bloch parameters. Moreover, we show that the proposed classification scheme can also be achieved through quantum parameter estimation. Finally, we demonstrate that the proposed dissipative classification scheme is suitable for gradient descent-based supervised learning tasks.

Quantum Fuzzy Classification Hashing Algorithm with the One-Time Pad Security Properties

Dong Cao

We propose a new method of quantum fuzzy classification hashing scheme constructed from the method of quantum information processing. Based on the uniform random fuzziness of the template set produced by the quantum fuzzy classification hashing, Security of the identification scheme is equivalent to one-time pad. Compared to the construction schemes based on similar method, the novel quantum fuzzy classification hashing scheme has a more simplified structure. Our algorithms have outstanding data security and validity. Theoretical analysis shows that the quantum fuzzy classification hashing can effectively resist the attack of quantum computation.

General Classification of Qubit Encodings in Ultracold Diatomic Molecules

Kasra Asnaashari, Roman V. Krems, Timur V. Tscherbul

Owing to their rich internal structure and significant long-range interactions, ultracold molecules have been widely explored as carriers of quantum information. Several different schemes for encoding qubits into molecular states, both bare and field-dressed, have been proposed. At the same time, the rich internal structure of molecules leaves many unexplored possibilities for qubit encodings. We show that all molecular qubit encodings can be classified into four classes by the type of the effective interaction between the qubits. In the case of polar molecules, the four classes are determined by the relative magnitudes of matrix elements of the dipole moment operator in the single-molecule basis. We exemplify our classification scheme by considering the encoding of the effective spin-1/2 system into nonadjacent rotational states (e.g., N = 0 and 2) of polar and nonpolar molecules with the same nuclear spin projection. Our classification scheme is designed to inform the optimal choice of molecular qubit encoding for quantum information storage and processing applications, as well as for dynamical generation of many-body entangled states and for quantum annealing.
