Noise of quantum dots in the ac Kondo regime: Slave-boson mean-field method and Floquet theorem

B. H. Wu, Jiafeng Cao

The noise of quantum dots in the ac Kondo regime is investigated by means of slave-boson mean-field method and Floquet theorem. A nonadiabatical formula for the noise power is obtained in the Floquet-Green formalism to take into account interaction effects. We show that, as a manifestation of many-particle correlations, the singularities of photon-assisted noise for noninteracting dots cannot survive in the ac Kondo regime. These peculiar features of the photon-assisted noise thus provide us an alternative probe to distinguish the noninteracting resonant tunneling and the many-particle Kondo resonance.

Kondo regime of the impurity spectral function and the current noise spectrum in the double impurity Anderson model

Zi‐Hao Chen, YiJing Yan

The dissipaton equations of motion (DEOM) method is one of the most popular methods for simulating quantum impurity systems. In this article, we use DOEM theory to deal with the Kondo problem of the double quantum dots (DQDs) impurity system. We focus on the impurity spectral function and the total noise spectral function, this two function will be used to describe the Kondo effect of this system. The influence of the interaction, the hooping and the difference of the chemical potential between the two dots on the Kondo effect of the system is studied. We find that the interaction between the two dots can influence the Kondo effect of the system a lot.

Current Noise through a Kondo Quantum Dot in a SU(N) Fermi Liquid State

Christophe Mora, X. Leyronas, Nicolas Regnault

The current noise through a mesoscopic quantum dot is calculated and analyzed in the Fermi liquid regime of the SU(N) Kondo model. The results connect the Johnson-Nyquist noise to the shot noise for an arbitrary ratio of voltage and temperature, and show that temperature corrections are sizable in the usual experiments. For the experimentally relevant SU(4) case, quasiparticle interactions are shown to increase the shot noise.
