Abstract

Quantum fluctuations in the mesoscopic capacitance-inductance-resistance coupled circuit with a power source are investigated using canonical transformation and a double wavefunction. We confirm that the fluctuations are not influenced by the power source. As a new method, the double wavefunction describes a single system of the coupled circuit, whereas the single wavefunction describes a quantum ensemble.

Quantum Fluctuations of Mesoscopic Double Resonance Circuit with Mutual Inductance and Capacitance-Inductance Coupling

A mesoscopic double resonance circuit with mutual inductance and capacitance-inductance coupling was quantized using canonical quantization method. The Hamiltonian of the system was diagonalized by unitary transformation to obtain the eigenenergy spectra of the circuit. The quantum fluctuations of the charge and current in the two loops of the circuit were studied under squeezed vacuum excitation state, squeezed vacuum state and vacuum state, respectively. The results show that quantum fluctuations are dependent not only on circuit parameters, quantum number of excitation, squeezed coefficients and squeezed angle, but also on mutual inductance coefficient, capacitance and inductance.

QUANTUM FLUCTUATIONS OF A DISSIPATIVE MESOSCOPIC CAPACITANCE–RESISTANCE–INDUCTANCE COUPLED CIRCUIT

Zhang Yuqiang, Shaohong Cai, Han Yue-Wu

Starting from Kirchhoff's equation for each mesoscopic coupled circuit, we investigated the quantum fluctuations of a dissipative mesoscopic capacitance–resistance–inductance coupled circuit using canonical transformation and unitary transformation. It is shown that the quantum fluctuations of charges and currents are not only related to the parameters of components in the self-circuit and coupled part, but also influenced by the parameters of other circuit. The uncertainty relations of the charges and currents are analyzed briefly.

Quantum fluctuation of a mesoscopic inductance-resistance coupled circuit with power source in squeezed vacuum state

We investigated the quantum fluctuations of charge and current in mesoscopic inductance-resistance coupled circuit with power source in squeezed vacuum state. The results revealed that the quantum fluctuations of mesoscopic circuit are not related to power source. Furthermore the influence of the squeezed parameter y and the squeezed angle θ on the quantum fluctuations is very important.

Quantum fluctuations of mesoscopic capacitance coupled circuit with mutual inductance and power source

Shou Zhang

The quantum fluctuations of charges and currents of mesoscopic capacitance coupled circuit with mutual inductance and power source were investigated by using canonical transformation and unitary transformation. The results show that the quantum fluctuations of charges and currents are independent of power source. When the components of the circuit are given, if the value of L_1/L_2 is very small or very large, the effect of coupling coefficient on quantum fluctuations of charges and currents are great. From no mutual inductance to having mutual inductance, the quantum fluctuation of charge of loop 2 and the quantum fluctuation of current of loop 1 are obvious. We can conclude that it play a very important role whether the mutual inductance exists or not.

Quantum Fluctuations of a Mesoscopic Capacitance Coupled Circuit with Power Source

Starting from classical equations of motion of the charges, we obtain the quantum fluctuations of the charges, and the currents of a mesoscopic capacitance coupled circuit with power source by using a canonical transformation and a unitary transformation. The uncertainty relations between charges and conjugate currents do not satisfy the minimum uncertainty relation, and is independent of the power source.

Quantum wave function and double-wavedescription of mesoscopic RLC circuit with a power source

Su Wenhui

The quantum wave function of mesoscopic RLC circuit with power source is obtained by the method of representational transformation, and with the wave function, the quantum fluctuation of the mesoscopic circuit was obtained. Meanwhile, the quantum effect of mesoscopic circuit with power source is investigated using the double wave function. By comparing between two kinds of methods, we confirm that the fluctuation is connected with the state of a circuit. This can be seen from the method of double wave function. The average values of ensemble solved by double wave function are just the expected values solved by the method of representational transformation.
