Abstract

A scheme is presented for the long-distance teleportation of an unknown atomic state between two separated cavities. Our scheme works in the regime where the atom-cavity coupling strength is smaller than the cavity decay rate. Thus the requirement on the quality factor of the cavities is greatly relaxed. Furthermore, the fidelity of our scheme is not affected by the detection inefficiency and atomic decay. These advantages are important in view of experiments.

Robust Scheme for Long-Distance Teleportation of an Unknown Atomic State

Zheng Shi-Biao

A scheme is presented for the long-distance teleportation of an unknown atomic state between two separated cavities. The scheme is based on the Raman coupling and cavity decay. In the scheme, the effective atom-cavity coupling strength is much smaller than the cavity decay rate and thus cavities of high quality factor are unnecesssary.

State-independent teleportation of an atomic state between two cavities

Shi-Biao Zheng

A scheme is presented for the teleportation of an unknown atomic state between two separated cavities. The scheme involves two interaction-detection cycles and uses resonantly coupled atoms with an additional ground state not coupled to the cavity field. Remarkably, the damping of one basis state is balanced by that of the other basis state and the state with photon loss in the first interaction-detection cycle is eliminated by the second cycle. Therefore, the fidelity of teleportation is independent of the teleported state and insensitive to the atomic spontaneous emission, cavity decay, and detection inefficiency, which is obviously in contrast to the original scheme by Bose et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 83, 5158 (1999)].

Teleportation of atomic states with a weak coherent cavity field

Zheng Shi-Biao

A scheme is proposed for the teleportation of an unknown atomic state. The scheme is based on the resonant interaction of atoms with a coherent cavity field. The mean photon-number of the cavity field is much smaller than one and thus the cavity decay can be effectively suppressed. Another advantage of the scheme is that only one cavity is required.

SCHEME FOR STATE-INDEPENDENT TELEPORTATION BETWEEN TWO DISTANT ATOMS

Jiasen Jin, Chang‐shui Yu, He‐Shan Song

We propose a scheme for long-distance teleportation of an unknown atomic state between two atoms that are trapped separately in optical cavities. Our scheme is based on the effects of quantum statistics of indistinguishable photons emitted from the trapped atoms. In this scheme, the probability of success is independent of the state to be teleported. Moreover, in the Lamb-Dicke limit, the requirement of the simultaneous clicks of the detectors is not necessary.

Teleportation of a two-atom entangled state via cavity decay

Sai-Yun Ye

This paper proposes a scheme for teleporting a two-atom entangled state using leaky cavities. It uses resonant atom–cavity interaction to map the atomic state onto the cavity field. Then it utilizes the interference of polarized photons to establish the correlation between the distant sender and receiver. The advantage of the scheme is that the fidelity is independent of the cavity decay rate, atomic decay and detection efficiency.

Teleportation of an unknown atomic state in cavity QED

Ma Song-She

A scheme is proposed for teleportation of an unknown atomic state based on the nonresonant interaction of two coupled two-level atoms with a single-mode cavity field. The scheme only requires the cavity field to be in a coherent state. After the interaction between the atoms and the cavity, the cavity is left in a coherent state.By detecting the states of atoms,an unknown atomic state is teleported. The scheme can also be used to teleport an unknown atomic entangled state.
