Hierarchy of tripartite entanglement detection in a cavity magnomechanical system

Wei Niu, Jiong Cheng, Wen-Zhao Zhang +1 more

Abstract We propose a criterion for detecting quantum states containing non-zero entanglement with respect to all possible bipartitions of a tripartite system. Our criterion, together with two other criteria, forms a hierarchy of tripartite entanglement detection, revealing three distinct types: genuine tripartite entanglement, entanglement with respect to all bipartitions, and standard tripartite entanglement. Furthermore, we present a feasible scheme for generating and detecting this hierarchy of tripartite entanglement within a cavity magnomechanical system. Our research paves the way for generating and detecting tripartite entanglement hierarchies in continuous variable systems.

Genuine tripartite nonlocality and entanglement in curved spacetime

Shu-Min Wu, Hao‐Sheng Zeng

Abstract We study the genuine tripartite nonlocality (GTN) and the genuine tripartite entanglement (GTE) of Dirac fields in the background of a Schwarzschild black hole. We find that the Hawking radiation degrades both the physically accessible GTN and the physically accessible GTE. The former suffers from “sudden death” at some critical Hawking temperature, and the latter approaches to the nonzero asymptotic value in the limit of infinite Hawking temperature. We also find that the Hawking effect cannot generate the physically inaccessible GTN, but can generate the physically inaccessible GTE for fermion fields in curved spacetime. These results show that on the one hand the GTN cannot pass through the event horizon of black hole, but the GTE do can, and on the other hand the surviving physically accessible GTE and the generated physically inaccessible GTE for fermions in curved spacetime are all not nonlocal. Some monogamy relations between the physically accessible GTE and the physically inaccessible GTE are found.

Nonlinear optics as a source of high-dimensional genuine tripartite entanglement

James Schneeloch, Richard J. Birrittella, Christopher C. Tison +3 more

We lay down a general scheme to quantify the amount of genuine tripartite entanglement present in the spatial and energy-time degrees of freedom of entangled photon triplets using a resource-based measure known as the tripartite entanglement of formation. Quantifying genuine tripartite entanglement relative to a number of maximally entangled three-qubit Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) states called gebits, the tripartite entanglement of formation serves as a basis of comparison between different tripartite entangled states of differing dimension. Demonstrating genuine tripartite entanglement is doubly challenging because it is not enough to show that each party is inseparable from the other two (which is sufficient only for pure states). Instead, one must rule out all mixtures of all combinations of biseparable states from describing the tripartite state. To meet this challenge, we use entropic measures of the statistics of tripartite systems to simultaneously bound the correlations each party has with the other two, and in so doing place a lower limit to the tripartite entanglement of formation. Even though our measure never over-estimates the entanglement present, we estimate the effectiveness of our technique by determining the exact tripartite entanglement of a triple-gaussian triphoton wavefunction with the same correlations as seen in photon triplets generated in third-order spontaneous parametric down-conversion (SPDC). Between these two efforts, we show that a substantial amount of tripartite entanglement exists in both the spatial and energy-time degrees of freedom of these systems, and propose an experiment that can measure them.
