Abstract

In a system of n quantum particles, we define a measure of the degree of irreducible n-way correlation, by which we mean the correlation that cannot be accounted for by looking at the states of n-1 particles. In the case of almost all pure states of three qubits, we show that there is no such correlation: almost every pure state of three qubits is completely determined by its two-particle reduced density matrices.

The power of reduced quantum states

In a system of n quantum particles, we define a measure of the degree of irreducible n-way correlation, by which we mean the correlation that cannot be accounted for by looking at the states of (n-1) particles. High order correlations of generic pure states of finite-dimensional quantum systems are determined by lower order correlations

Noah Linden, William K. Wootters

We show that almost every pure state of multi-party quantum systems (each of whose local Hilbert space has the same dimension) is completely determined by the state's reduced density matrices of a fraction of the parties; this fraction is less than about two-thirds of the parties for states of large numbers of parties. In other words once the reduced states of this fraction of the parties have been specified, there is no further freedom in the state.

Pure tripartite entanglement types based on spectra of reduced density matrices

Saeid Molladavoudi, Hishamuddin B Zainuddin, Chan Kar Tim

Given a specific ordered spectra of (shifted) one-qubit reduced density matrices, we discuss that the pure tripartite entanglement for a system consisting of three qubits is determined by only two local unitary invariant polynomials.

Explicit constructions of all separable two-qubits density matrices and related problems for three-qubits systems

Y. Ben-Aryeh, A. Mann

Explicitly separable density matrices are constructed for all separable two-qubits states based on Hilbert–Schmidt (HS) decompositions. For density matrices which include only two-qubits correlations the number of HS parameters is reduced to 3 by using local rotations, and for two-qubits states which include single qubit measurements, the number of parameters is reduced to 4 by local Lorentz transformations. For both cases, we related the absolute values of the HS parameters to probabilities, and the outer products of various Pauli matrices were transformed to pure state density matrices products. We discuss related problems for three-qubits. For n-qubits correlation systems ([Formula: see text]) the sufficient condition for separability may be improved by local transformations, related to high order singular value decompositions (SVDs).

ON THE PSEUDO-PURE STATES OF TWO QUBITS

Horia Scutaru

Pseudo-pure states are defined as the maximally degenerate mixed states. The density matrices of such states have only two distinct degenerate eigenvalues. We shall show that, in the particular case of the two qubits systems, these states are completely determined by the one of the two Bloch vectors of the corresponding qubits.
