The nonuniversal Ising model with nearest-neighbour interactions on a ferrimagnetic square lattice

Zbigniew Strycharski, Jerzy Cisło

The relation between the Ising models with nearest-neighbour interactions on a ferrimagnetic square lattice (with spins S= 1 / 2 and S>or=1) and the eight-vertex model is pointed out. The nonuniversal behaviour of such Ising models with S>or=2 is shown.

Critical behaviour of the two-dimensional biaxial next-nearest-neighbour Ising model: series expansions

J. Oitmaa, Michael J. Velgakis

The critical behaviour of an Ising model with competing first- and third-nearest-neighbour interactions ('biaxial next-nearest-neighbour Ising' or BNNNI model) on the square lattice is investigated by high- and low-temperature series.

Damage spreading in Ising model with increased range of interaction

S.S. Manna

We have studied the spreading of damage in Ising models with increased range of interaction. Simulating a square lattice of linear size 1000 we find that the spreading temperature and the Curie temperature of magnetic transition are the same for both nearest and next nearest neighbour models whereas for third nearest neighbour model they may not be the same.
