Abstract

Some correlation functions of critical models, like the anisotropic spin chain with nearest and next-to-nearest neighbor interaction, or the eight vertex model, are computed as a corollary of the study of the XYZ model in [2].

EQUATIONS FOR CORRELATION FUNCTIONS OF EIGHT-VERTEX MODEL: FERROMAGNETIC AND DISORDERED PHASES

Michael Lashkevich

The Kyoto group (Jimbo, Miwa, Nakayashiki et al.) has developed methods for calculating correlation functions of the eight-vertex model in antiferromagnetic phases. We extend these methods to ferromagnetic and disordered phases. We use Baxter’s symmetries to substantiate the validity of the analytical approach for these phases.

INTEGRABLE XYZ HAMILTONIAN WITH NEXT-NEAREST-NEIGHBOR INTERACTION

Lai Yun-zhong, Zhan-Ning Hu, Jun Liang +1 more

In this paper, we construct a Hamiltonian of the impurity model with next-nearest-neighbor interaction within the framework of the open boundary Heisenberg XYZ spin chain. This impurity model is an exactly solved one and it degenerates to the integrable XXZ impurity model under the triangular limit. It is the first approach to add the impurities and next-nearest-neighbor interaction to the integrable completely anisotropic Heisenberg spin chain. We find also that the impurity parameters in the bulk are real when the cross parameter is imaginary for the Hermitian Hamiltonian, or vice versa, when the next-nearest-neighbor interaction is introduced. The eigenvalue of the Hamiltonian and the Bethe ansatz equations for the trigonometric limit case are derived also.

FUSED POTTS MODELS

W.M. KOO, Hubert Saleur

Generalizing the mapping between the Potts model with nearest neighbor interaction and the six-vertex model, we build a family of “fused Potts models” related to the spin k/2 U q su (2) invariant vertex model and quantum spin chain. These Potts models still have variables taking values 1, …,Q[Formula: see text] but they have a set of complicated multispin interactions. The general technique to compute these interactions, the resulting lattice geometry, symmetries, and the detailed examples of k=2, 3 are given. For Q>4, spontaneous magnetizations are computed on the integrable first order phase transition line, generalizing Baxter’s results for k=1. For Q≤4, we discuss the full phase diagram of the spin 1 (k=2) anisotropic and U q su (2) invariant quantum spin chain [it reduces in the limit Q=4 (q=1) to the much studied phase diagram of the isotropic spin 1 quantum spin chain], Several critical lines and massless phases are exhibited. The appropriate generalization of the valence bond state method of Affleck et al. is worked out.

Nearest-Neighbour Correlation Functions for the Supersymmetric XYZ Spin Chain and Painlevé VI

Christian Hagendorf, Hjalmar Rosengren

Abstract We study nearest-neighbour correlation functions for the ground state of the supersymmetric XYZ spin chain with odd length and periodic boundary conditions. Under a technical assumption related to the Q-operator of the corresponding eight-vertex model, we show that they can be expressed exactly in terms of the Painlevé VI tau functions $$s_n$$ s n and $${{\bar{s}}}_n$$ s ¯ n introduced by Bazhanov and Mangazeev. Furthermore, we give an interpretation of the correlation functions in terms of the Painlevé VI Hamiltonian.
